  1. I like banjos. They are hard to play though. At least thats what I hear. I’ve never actually played a banjo before. I just think they sound very neat. Like in blue grass they are used a lot. It may sound a little whats the word for it…”hick-ish”? but…well yeah it is.

  4. I’ve always wanted to learn to play. Unfortunately, hand issues keep me from being able to pick. Also, I have a real lack of musical ability or talent. My son picked one up and could play in about 10 minutes. Makes me sick.

  6. if i had a banjo i would play it and be super cool. banjo is like a ukaleiley because only super cool people can play them because its way cooler than a guitar but sounds more happy. banjo backwards is ojnab, and reminds me of b-i-n-g-o so dont be jealous.

  7. Banjos are great. They make me think of Arkansas or Mississippi. This does give them a rather negative connotation, but it’s fun to hear the deerdeerdeer sound and immediately want to dance the Happy Prospector. My chemistry teacher loved bluegrass festivals, and it was probably because of the banjos.

  13. banjos are beautiful instruments that serenade hillbillies. some may find it annoying, but the banjo can easily play even the most beautiful sonatas, create sounds like a violin, and be played in many different ways, never underestimate the power of the banjo.

  21. I remember when my Uncle and I used to play banjo together. It’s one of the few things I remember. That’s when Buster was still alive. He wasn’t a dog we was some sort of magic. He was brilliant.

  23. i played the bajo when i was in a bluegrass band a long time ago there was a guy that had a beard and no teeh and he also played the bass and the washboard. he was old and wore a bandana.

  26. I usually play my banjo on sunday afternoons, when the sky and the earth are quiet. I love it when it rains too, the vibrations flow through the banjo and into the sky, creating beautiful music. I love my banjo oh so much, it gives me much joy.

  32. he sat upon the desk top, banjo laying across his knee, thumping out the beat to “Ob-la-di-ob-la-da” on his knee. The beatles, his flannel shirt, looking like a regular country bumpkin, I imagined this is what he did at the farm he worked at, late at night sitting high above the world on the tractor once he’d finished his work. I loved that image of him in my mind.

  39. a banjo is a musical instrument. it is generally in country music. a lot of people enjoy banjos but a lot of people hate them too. they have a very unique sound. banjo music isnt very popular anymore, becaue not a lot of people listen to it. and because its been outdone by other instruments.
