It all happens in the dark, those deadly sins no one wants to talk about. The dark…where’s the darkest place you’ll find? Your basement. It’s haunted you see, by all those memories and all those mistakes. You’ll always be haunted.
I feel like if I was locked in a basement, it looks like if no matter what I do I will always have responsibilities. I don’t wanna grow old and go to work, one day waking up crying and realising my life is gone and I didn’t do much with it but be just like any other person. I just want to climb the stairs and break the door, runaway and scream if I cannot.
In that 70’s show when they go into the basement and seem to have the best conversations in the basement because they do pot down there. I love that show and this post is so dumb because there are better things to say about basements. much better things, i just happened to think of this at this moment in time and it really resonated in my mind. I don’t know what that says about my mind but hey maybe I;m crazy.

i was stuck there, in the dank, murky room. a prisoner of my own mind. everything was closing in around me. then a light switched on and i headed up the stairs. upstairs, the light was clear. i knew what i was doing. i was free.

dungeon that needs to be cleaned. have a big party and hide dead bodies… or make a torture chamber. create a hockey room and play hockey with the neighbors on cold cold days and then enjoy beer from the bar. Dont forget to make the sound proofing to hide all the screams

Basement, she walked down the darkness and enveloped in black nothhingness. yet she was not afraid for she knew this darkness was not going to destory her or take her away, but to consule her.
In my basement lives my grandma.. Don’t worry, we renovated it for her. She has a full kitchen, a bathroom, a game room, a bedroom, a living room, a spare bedroom, and a big hallway :) She likes it down there. She has a kitten as well. And don’t think we make my g-ma stay down there. She goes wherever she wants around the house!

they seem scary at first, you don’t really know what’s down there. it’s completely isolated at the bottom of a house. only one way in, only one way out. what if you get trapped? what if someone is waiting down there for you? but then again, what if there’s a sweet entertainment set up?

Sometimes I want to crawl into a basement and hide from the world. Living with other human beings, even my family… especially my family, is making me lose my mind. Sometimes I wonder what normal feels like. Running away from this all sounds like a perfectly reasonable idea. I’m already quasi-packed.
Watching the television and eating chips in your mother’s basement at thirty five was never a good idea. Especially since he seemed to be expecting someone to fall in love with him anyway.
The Freak in the Corner
In the basement is where it sat. An old french horn in a case. Sheya dare not open it. She was afraid if she did it would collapse under the weight of the atmosphere. It was ancient, really, but rumored to be in fine shape.

I am currently sitting in mine. They’re a safe place from tornadoes. Usually pretty cold. I kind of dwell in here. They have a pretty negative connotation, but they own. It’s like a man cave. Not all houses have them, but they really should. If you don’t, you’re missing out.

back further:in the basement of ricky rejection’s evil lair:,”your choice, superior man, either you hand over powerful girl to me,or i destroy the great state of washington”
“blow a gasket, you overgrown bucket of bolts.i’ll never hand powerful girl over to you.”
“then, you leave me no choice,”r.r. shoots three missles from their containment tubes
Basement ate socks and liked to sniff my crotch. I would always pat his head, remembering each time that is wasn’t really his fault he had a moronic name.
I wish I had a basement. That’s not to say I don’t, but, you know, a real basement, one with no windows and an ugly yellow light hanging from the ceiling and a huge tv screen with remotes and the Wii my grandparents gave me and possibly two sagging brown couches.

basements are in a bunch of horror stories as scary places. i don’t have an opinion because i don’t have one at my house. i don’t think i would find one scary, though. they seem like nice places to be alone with either your thoughts or with someone else.
It’s dark, dank, it’s where the washing machine lives. Next to it are shelves filled with canned peaches from the tree out back. The cans are now covered with dust and detergent that spilled from the shelf above where the spiders made their home on webs of lace. It’s been a long time since Grandma died.

I like basements. At our house our basement is very comfy and cosy. We always go down there just to hang out and to have a good time. It is like a family room. We all connect down there. It is probably my favorite spot in the whole house.

I think of anything else right now. My sister just told me she’s pregnant. And she’s keeping him/her. She just turned 18.
The closet is where most people keep theirs, but Andrea hides hers in the basement; problem is, it’s getting pretty rancid down there.

The dank, dark basement was empty except for a small pine chest sitting in the far corner. I walked gingerly towards the chest.
Let the light come in, clean those dark windows. Open your eyes, let those screaming, knotting feelings out. Clear the basement. Let people see you.

I thought it a damned stupid name.

We had a huge party in the basement. I wish. It was so lame that even the nerds left. Thats it I’m never letting my grandma plan my party again.
The basement is the safest place in a tornado. A basement can be repurposed to any function in a house, like a bedroom or studio.
