Of course, they’re also almost entirely female, with the only exception being the ones used to make the queen pregnant.

  24. I watched a documentary, then a movie, then slept a little, then watched some more TV. My body ached and my back spasmed from lying down so much. Another documentary. This time about about bees.

It would never be the same for the honey bee after the veroh destructor mite infested their colonies bring virus and disease.

  30. My sister, a childhood friend, and I once stepped on a hive of yellow jackets. We were very young, and I don’t remember the bee stings, but I do remember that Amanda had to go to the hospital. I imagine it was a horrible experience for all three of us, and I’m sure I could find some well of creative genius thinking of the bees. But I can’t remember, and that sucks. I have no bee suffering story.

  37. Ah bees are incredibly terrifying. They may die quickly after stinging people, but it’s just the idea of penetration that really terrifies people… Also the pain. Overall, though. You have to respect that they go to extreme lengths to make honey. They also don’t have the healthiest lifestyle. Having to mate with a single queen and have countless babies and then die afterward.

    Mira

So, subsequently here I am procrastinating my schoolwork and yet again thinking about the people that I miss most dearly while I’m stuck in the droning life of academia.
