  1. Once upon a time, a little bird lived in a bird house with it’s little bird buddies. The other birds were like regular birds but our little bird friend was different. He liked to do things that birds did not normally do. He liked to eat people food. He tried to be friends with cats.

  6. Birdhouses…I do love them.. My mom likes them. She’s pretty cool except she yells at me sometimes. I wish I could shove my sister in a birdhouse. Then she would leave me alone and I could live my life in peace. She’s actually pretty frightening.

  10. My grandma. I painted one once. It’s in my backyard. It’s hideous. Why would anyone want an ugly little birdhouse that a seven year old made? It’s obnoxious looking and weird. Ooh! My grandma likes them. We give her one EVERY year for christmas, her birthday, easter. A bit tiresome, no?

  13. I don’t like birdhouses. They remind me of small town usa and the old supposed patriotic men that build them. Then again that nice old man down the street built them in sarasota. He showed me how to change a tire. Anyways i guess its a pretty neutral word

  17. “a birdhouse!” she cried as Timothy handed her her birthday present. “why would you make me a birdhouse?”
“I thought you would like to sit at your window and watch the birds feed.” he responded with a shrug.

and he was right she would, the only problem was her window faced a cement wall.

  19. The birdhouse in the yard didn’t house birds. A small winged creature fluttered out every night, but it was not one the inhabitants of the human house would be familiar with. The sprite was very careful to not be seen.

  28. there was one in my grandparent’s yard. my grandfather made it. We used to make them in school with tissue tubes, peanut butter and bird seed. Wait. that’s a bird feeder. not a bird house. I’ve been writing about the wrong word. How sad. Bird houses, I always imagined them huge and beautiful on the inside, with rooms and furniture for the birds.

  33. The birdhouse was all that remained of their time together. A little wooden structure, glazed over with memories, both good and bad. Sometimes, if she listened closely, she could hear these memories whispering quietly. But, as soon as she noticed, the sound would vanish into nothingness.

  37. there is a bird outside my window that needs a home, because apparently he likes to stand homeless and squeek in my ear louder and louder every morning until I ask my wife to get up and go kill that bird because he is really annoying. 40. The birdhouse sat atop a tall tree. There were birds that circled around it, almost as if the birdhouse was some holy shrine. The young boy, ignorant of this spiritual specter through rocks at the house. Who could blame him?
