  1. Venetian blinds. Dusting the blinds is a real chore. Getting each blind dust free takes time and sensitivity so that you don’t bend the blind. Curtains are easier to care for.

  8. close your eyes. stop looking. it’ll block your thoughts, your ideas, your inspiration to keep your eyes open. seeing everything. noting everything around you. keep it at a distance and close them. the colours will be more vivid. ideas will bounce around you, in you, through you, and you’ll actually feel them. the blinds of your soul must be closed to allow you to truly see.

  13. i like blinds because they keep the sun out of my room in the morning. they also keep peeping toms from looking into the house and offer privacy. blinds can be expensive, the cheaper the better!

Blinds hang over windows in the hopes of keeping the cruelly bright sun out of our eyes further attempts to disconnect us from the world outside of our homes which in turn is a further attempt to disconnect us from the world around us in our homes we are creating our own universes and our own empires, or at least massive introverts like myself.

  16. I don’t know why, when matters become all too real, the blinds are the first to be shut. Why can’t he just appreciate, and process, and deal, in the open light? Why cast darkness on the problems we are trying to illuminate? His only concern is to shield our problems from the world, when it should be solving them.

  18. the blinds in my room block out the sunlight, but sometimes its not enough. it seeps through the cracks, and beams of light fall upon the bare floorboards. i curl up in the corner, away from brightness, clench my eyes and wait for the night, when i can relax in the darkness and wait impatiently for death to take me for his own.

  20. The blinds were always closed. It was weird, because you could see his eyes. But there was nothing behind them, like the blinds were closed, leaving his mind hidden from everyone else. He walked through the world as if it wasn’t there, as if he was enjoying his time within the closed shutters of his mind where no one else could see.

  26. yesterday my mom yelled at me for breaking the blindss. whenever i open them i see the apartments he lives in and i cry. i hate it when the blinds are open. i have nothing better to do right now. it would be amazing if he texts me right now. i would love life if he said he loved me again. oh yeah back to blinds, they keep the sun out.

  28. Blinds are bought to use to blind out the sun, hence the word blind. When you are asleep, it is difficult to sleep with sun in your eyes.

  35. i opened up the blinds and saw a guy totally buck naked outside of my window. It was quite a funny thing to wake up to considering i haven’t seen penis in a few months or so, not that I’m a slut or anything, but i know what I like. i did not, however like this one, It belonged to a creepy old guy. I mean some one, if i’m gonna randomly seen old man junk, at least show me a silver fox…I think that will be my dinner prayer for the evening. i mean, I’m sure god doesn’t get that request quite as often…

  37. The blinds are over the window. They’re dirty and white. They have been in this house for years. Off white really, in a few years I’m pretty sure they’ll be brown. Maybe someday they’ll fall off, or we’ll buy some new ones.
