Blocks stacking up against the wall in stair-like formation a small tiny person begins to walk observing the blocks he slowly climbs up the blocks to reveal…

there are building block of life. you can either go through them or let them ‘block’ the way to life. you can overcome them by using them to your advantage or allowing them to overcome you. blocks are a test of who you are and who you want to be. what you want to do. let them block you out and you become a shell of yourself, and theres no going back from then.
Jennifer
building blocks are the essential things in life, i learned my abcs my 123s and much more. animals and other things. whenever i have kids the first toy they will recieve is a set of building blocks

childhood is calling through the wood from our earth. letters letters and more letters. follow me through happiness and confusion. Follow me home.

Blocks are frequently used as counters, but I never understood what their appeal was, aside from their stackability. Why not circles? I like circles…

You should be building blocks
like my baby cousin has
squishy foam
all colors of the rainbow
so when they fall or you trip over em
you don’t get hurt
i wish when i triped over you
i woulden’t get hurt

I see little blocks everywhere. I see them forming huge skyscrapers that seem to touch outer space. I can barely see the sky, they’re so tall. I want to climb them, so I do. They’re all sorts of colors. I’m dizzy because I’m so high up. It’s insane. To touch the clouds on these toy pillars.

Building blocks much like our phases of life. They usually aspire to something, but can easily come crashing down, killing any small ants in the process.
Lacie
Blocks are cube shaped objects, much like boxes. For that matter, I used to work in a shipping department of a small research company. I sent out empty boxes filled with dry ice and bubble wrap for people to send defective products back in. I loved that job, but my boss was a creepy uncle-looking type.

blocks in my life were like the foundations that set me up to fall in love again. i did not see the beauty of all the things around me until i began to appreciate the true beauty of all the nature of things. timothy was like that. when we broke up i stopped believing in everything most important in my life.
christine
i used to play with them when i was a kid. i built a palace once or twice. perfectly symmetrical. i always paid attention to that. each side had to match each side. if it wasn’t perfect it wasn’t right. only now would I understand that structures don’t have to be perfect. blocks should be built upon and fall down

Building blocks in all colours – red, blue, yellow, orange. We build them up into a tower and he knocks them down with a laugh! So we do it again……

Misfortune turned its ugly head towards me and like a recently tipped tower of blocks, my hard work toppled in noisy cubes.

stuck. no where else to go. you have to come up with something else. you’re blocked. those obstacles in your way won’t be there forever. grab his hand and run into oblivion, because its not or never. you’ll lose him, you’ll lose anything and everything. the end. fall in and out of love.

there are so many things that block my view. i’m near blind by things that distract me, like my friends, facebook, guys…things that don’t really matter in the long run. my view of the prize is blocked by all the other runners. when did i fall so far behind? i need a boost, some water or some energy drink or something to keep me going. this race i cannot lose. this race has the ultimate prize waiting for me. this prize ends with You.
emily
blocks make me think of childhood. you know those kid blocks with the letters on them? how i love them :)
Morgan Frey
At three blocks were meant to build. I took each to be a piece of something greater. Every color incorporated into something I could feel good about. At twenty they are what stops me from progressing. Barriers, instruments of aggression, void of hue. I just want to play.
Emily
I remember playing with these blocks at my grandparents house every time we went to visit. They had this sweet smell, like they were old and had been in my family for years. which they had. the colors had faded, and many of the blocks were chipped, but those were the toys that i flocked to every time i came.
gidget
Blockading your mind. Roadblocks are just that — barriers, not insurmountable chasms. It is unfortunate that it is impossible to remove the blocks along someone else’s path. Why?

Lots and lots of blocks that what a city is, its not the people or the buildings. Its road after road of no life and only asphalt. Say hello to walking.

blocks are fun to play with especially when I was in pre-school and we had play time. many children today have more advanced toys to play with than the ones I had when I was young. I kind of wish I had the toys they have today.
Chantel Cureton
blocks are built upon they are foundations blocks are for children to play with at an early age – blocks can be cinder, brick or cardboard – blocks can be bold, big and bright – blocks can be blockheads

My daughter plays with these wonderful shapes. They can be stacked and have letters, numbers, and pictures on them. The shape of a block, a square, is so basic and integral to our lives that it is one of the first things that children learn. The ability to build something is amazing, to use your imagination and blocks to create something. Using blocks shows that sometimes the sum is greater than its parts.

they go upside down and rightside up but always fit no longer there! it is time to see the blocks we use to build the world in time. oh how we use them to lock us in.

have lots and lots of socks in their head where they make lots of things which you can eat and do not want to because they are terrible and are fun to kill tiny tiny bacteria which do not exist alone on chemo synthesis which is a lot like the opposite of photosynthesis.

The red and green triangular blocks go over there. The blue rectangles there. The design is almost a mandala, but it’s not necessarily symmetric. It can be difficult to determine which blocks go where without a picture as a guide.

Blocks of time determine my life. I have a time for school and a time for work and a time for homework. Why can’t my life flow, like water through a sieve? It would be more fluid and much more comfortable than the clunky movements from one block of time to another. It think it’d be nice, you know? More freedom.
Matthew Mosquera
The blocks were stacked precariously, each one covered in a thin layer of dust, that was one thing he noticed when he walked into the room. The next was the small body lying next to them.
Riley
i like to play with blocks a lot.. they remind me of childhood and pretending that you are an architect. and then when you build the tallest tower without them falling down, you crash into them. although, i was a dork when i was little, and i built Minas Tirith as in the city of kings in Gondor haha. go little me go.

Roads and writers have lots of things in common. The most prominent being that they can never stretch on for too long without getting jammed up and needing repairs. The blocks make them function easier. We need to be thankful for them, because they make the ride worthwhile.

Block building all around me. I’m afraid of putting up blocks, tearing down blocks, being blocked by blocks. I fear the blocks and the Bloc Quebecois. One day I’ll block my father from my Facebook account. I need to remember to apply sunblock more religiously or else I’ll never block cancer.

when you were a kid did you ever play with building blocks? i used to like to make castles out of them. all of those pretty colors piled upon one another, they looked like a rainbow. they were the prettiest things that I had ever seen.
