blocks
build them up higher and higher, reaching to the sky. don’t let anything get in the way of your building blocks. sometimes they will tumble down, but you can’t stop there, you’ve got to keep going, keep on building up higher and higher. your mind is the glue that keeps them together.

they were scattered all over the floor – tiny little lego blocks – the ones that shoot up the vacuum – but are apparently the VITAL pieces that are required to build the space ship/truck/house/canon/whatever…..

Billie was not a pleasant child.
She never felt it was necessary to share any of her toys, including the Barbie dolls. She did, however, allow others to play with her little alphabet blocks. It allowed her to throw them very hard at others without having to accept responsibility for harm done.
It always amused her to see how how much damage could be done by a well aimed wooden toy.
Her neighbor, Judy “One-Eye” Jones, however, failed to find laughter in the incident.

If she walks fast enough, she thinks, the past will fade from her view, her memory. So she walks at a New York clip, face shielded with a cheap black umbrella picked up from a hawker outside the subway stop. Heels click on cracked pavement, speedy and with purpose, down long avenue blocks. The crowds won

Blocks are what we played with when we were kids. Blocks are used to make things wood blocks, concrete blocks you name it nd they’ve got blocks for it. Now I want to go play with some blocks like I did when I was little! Blocks how I love thee!!!!!!

Childhood memories of the lego drawer, creating structures made of lego blocks. Creating houses, walls and even cubes, made of colour-coded sides.

At my school we switched to a block schedule routine. I don’t really like it. I remember playing with those ABC blocks when I was young. They were all sorts of colors! Blocks were childhood toys that bring back many memories for me and my sibling!
they form themselves just for us.
they can’t be a menace to society.
they go by unnoticed.

my boy reuben likes to build blocks. He builds massive big towers and then Harvey comes and smashes them down. Then he gets mad at him and will probably whack him. Bit stink really. I wish the kids played more with blocks actually. They have a massive box of them and it would encourage their imaginative play a bit more. Other types of blocks I can think of are mental blocks, and road blocks.
BB
I see the blocks on the floor. I sit. I build. I’m 3 or 4 or 5 again. I build a tower; a pyramid. I look and the clock and see the time. I grow up fast and stand to go to work. Adult again.

it is about a block made of little blocks which are made of littler blocks and so on. i only see squares and squares..and grey, definitely grey…

they are square and usually oblong and square. they are used to build houses. they are fun toys for kids who like to construct things. they are also very useful for people who are short and need to reach high places. if you are in a running race and you start, it is said that you are taking off from the blocks. blocks come in all sorts of colours, mainly primary colours.

blocks are alien space craft from Saturn who dont like our children so they get them addicted to building things with their alias which is a bit mean but perhaps they are just misunderstood

Writer’s block is a totally valid excuse to not write…. right?

These are what seem to be in my head a lot lately. Blocks of all shapes and sizes – stopping me from being my usual intelligent, articulate self. I hate it. It’s depressing and hugely frustrating. It goes far beyond writer’s block…

building tools for small minds and big minds alike, colorful in more ways than one. People, lego, bridges – the world is but a sum of many blocks built on top of one another forming a beautiful cohesion that points to a divine and ordered Creator

I removed the statue. To my surprise, behind it, I found a tower of golden blocks…turns out they weren’t blocks at all but a cubist, Aztec, artistic representation of the long lost Captain McAssface.

Things that can prevent people reaching their goals, most are quite simple to climb over, but some require help from other people. By getting over different blocks people learn, and traversing the pathways becomes easier, although the life blocks do tend to become harder as you age.

What the fuck am I going to do with blocks again. I expected a new word this time. How the fuck is this going to help me with my writing. Maybe help me get rid of mental blocks. Now I’m forcing myself to come up with something to write, mental blocks, what a fucking joke. I have no mental blocks. I am unique, I am supreme, I cannot falter.

I used to play with blocks all the time when I was a little girl. Except not really. I do not have very many memories of blocks. I want to be the person who uses blocks to the best of her advantage. I want to use building blocks to become the kind of person I have always wanted to be. Who is this girl? I do not know her yet. I do not know me. I just know who I want to become.
Melissa
blocks are what I used to put together as a child. Well not really cause I barely played with my toys much less spend lots of productive hours putting together little plastics lego blocks together to make something fleeting and useless, not to mention unproductive, something I find completely contrary to everything I want to gain from life.

blocks, road blocks, blocks in the road of love, blocks in writing, writer’s blocks. the unwillingness to write about what you’ve repeatedly written about but to no realistic avail. what’s blocking you at the moment to tell the one you like to, you know, just try it out. you blocking yourself because you think you’ve got this when in reality, no one’s gotten anything.
Jennie
I found a set of building blocks in the basement when I was trying to clean it out after mom died. I’d forgotten about them, but there they were, just sitting there, all bright reds and yellows and blues, faded over and coated with dust. I lifted one up and blew on it. It was the brightest green I’d ever seen.
Paula
All I could think about during the accident was how much I was missing at work. Slowly the time was drifting and the dust was breezing by across my windshield when I saw her. There, three lanes down, she was rubbernecking and gorgeous as ever.
I rolled down my window and called out to her.

blocks make me think of a kid and building forts which leads me to cardboard boxes and building real forts and pretending to be piranes. Now there are real pirates and the high seas are not safe. Stash your jewels below deck. Don’t bring any booty on board. Better yet, become a pirate yourself and let your childhood dreams come true.

As a child I remember having legos, rather than blocks. Pink ones, with little girls, and the ability to build houses rather than spaceships or forts.
As an adult, I’ve played with blocks while working with kids. They foster creativity. But possibly, still gender difference.
