  1. She sat there staring at the casket as it was slowly lowered to the ground below.
There wasnt an open casket at the funeral, so all she could do was guess how he looked.
Through out the years his body will decay and all that will be left of him will be bones.
    Just bones.

    Jessica
  2. bones is the name of a tv character. it also makes up the human skeleton. i wonder what i will look like when i die and only my bones are left after decaying. i used to save chicken bones for the puppy that i knew i would never get. its so random but i wanted one. my parents were afraid it would be killed by a car in fro

  3. It was almost too much, entering that house again, the ceiling lined with bones like a ribcage. She must polish them to make them shine so. The young man stepped closer to the light of her fire, a musty low pit in the center of the dirt floor. She gazed at him from behind her damp fringe of hair. “Whaaat is it you require?” A hiss from the dark gape of her toothless mouth. He swallowed, and held out his payment, a fine crystal dagger, his only family heirloom, and prayed it was enough to barter for his beloved’s life.

But it wouldn’t be enough. It never is in these kinds of tales…

  5. sticking straight up and out like stubborn flowers determined to bloom before the cold winter ground is ready for them, before the weary eyes of passers by are expecting them, no, they are too busy hunched and huddled, tightly pulling coats around them and thinking back to the last time they saw the sun.

  6. My son is four. He still doesn’t really understand when he eats chicken that it’s the animal that he’s eating and gets really excited when he reaches the bones. Like the bones are sticks the meat comes on.

  7. “No. NO.” Bernard stepped slowly back, away from his wife, away from the wild look in her eyes and the knife in her hand. “I was making ribs for dinner,” she said. “The bones are just never tender enough.” Bones? Who cared about tender bones? Bernard’s wife sidled closer, waving the gleaming tool drunkenly.

  8. They are hard and white. ITs a song by the Killers that has a great chorus. Bones also makes me think of boning, since our mind tends to go to such sexual things anyways. I have never actually broken a bone, though my brother has broken his foot, and got so much sympathy that I was jealous. My father was runover by a car and broke every bone below his waist. My mother has broke her collarbone three times on the same day each year, three years in a row. cursed huh?

  9. Bones, thick and thin, crumbled fine to dust, how do they not crush under all this weight on your shoulders? The rib cage, strong, against a struggling heart, despite the pressure, it still carries on. Smack my cranium, but I just can’t stop thinking about him. Anger, sorrow, loneliness, I just want him back in my arms.

  10. I’m so brittle. I might break, but I don’t, not yet anyway. But given time, I bet you could break me. Wear and tear – stress and fear. What becomes of us at the climax, the peak, the point of no return? Dust? Ash? Blackness?

Tell me you don’t intend this – if you have to – then lie to me. Make me believe that life is always beautiful, that everything always turns out well, and in that in the end you always loved me best.

  11. The bones once moved. The bones once were part of a whole. The muscles attached… here, where there are crests. Most people don’t know that. Bones aren’t smooth. They rise and fall where muscles attach. The bones are a part of you, a part of me. They turn to dust and replenish the supply.

  12. Bones, eh? Well, the first thing that comes to mind is obviously going to be the skeleton. Second thing, Brookelle Bones, one of my all time favorite site models. I don’t really know what else to write about this word… how many of these do I have? What was it, 203, or 206? Or was it 208? These are the questions that haunt me… :)

  14. I think of bones the TV show. Those dry bones that rot up in grave yards, that snap when you break the wishbone. I hear the crunch when they break in movies, and I see the marrow in a dog’s toy. I see the white of the bone and I look at its coarseness.

    Kira Johnson

Bones are full of life and death, they are everything and nothing. They are strong and weak and it’s so sad when the small break theirs. I love my children and I love their little bones. Pastey white little bones….

  18. There are many bones in your body, but none I hate more than the “bone” that isn’t a bone. Sometimes I wonder why I was born this way. I wish I didn’t have it and that I could make it go away. Sometimes, I’ll use duct tape to “hide” it and look at myself in the mirror. It feels good to see myself without it.

  19. the bone lied on the ground. Samson was fighting with his intent to kill. He momentarily got knocked off his feet. A “Donkey’s Jawbone” he said to himself. He picked it up and began to swing it wildly.

  20. There she sat. A burlap sack in her lap. Found in the park, beneath an old oak. The bag was heavy, and smelled of old fruit and rust. She opened it. Flesh and bones, arranged in a peculiar shape, not the common ones found walking around, outside the contents of a sack. She screamed, but it replied with a simple “Hello.”

Bones are white they’re long and thin and hard and get chewed on by dogs and buried in yards they hold you up they weigh you down they’re all that’s left when you’re burned they’re the one thing you don’t ever want to see that belongs to you but they’re on display in museums all the time they’d make good weapons but that’d be gross.
