  1. How did we end up there, down at the docks so late at night? We were entranced, the real Liverpool, real dockers and sailors an instead of the unreal world of students. The rain lashed outside and lights of cars and street lamps spilled all over the shining streets, The bar had sharp cornered Formica tables of fake wood design, the chairs were the tubular stack-able type, the surfaces ringed and sticky, empties pushed back and a jukebox played Tom Jones singing Delilah. Then suddenly an old man came up, lumbered over and asked why Alex was wearing the old dress uniform jacket he had bought in the thrift shop. We had thought it so stylish and elegant. ‘You have no right’ he said, ‘to wear this this’, ‘no right’ he said, with a punishing jabbing finger he stabbed the colours of decorations unknown to us that edged the right breast pocket, ‘people I loved died for these’. Others stood up, we wondered if we’d be hit. I felt ashamed, not just of our carelessness, our lack of appreciation, more for our social tourism- most likely we’d not break our bodies working on trawlers and docks for the reward of a council house and a bar this. 3. Her braid fell upon her shoulder.
    It was thick and strong.
    Unlike her who had been
Hurt and lied to her whole life.
    Everyone she knew
    Had somehow abused her.
    She hid all though,
    Kept everything a secret

  4. Hair can be pretty when it’s twisted into a lovely charade like a braid or a bun or perhaps pigtails.

  6. The braid hung half way down her back. It was golden blond, with flecks of honey colored hair woven in. I knew it was her without seeing her face. The gorgeous hair i had run my hands through many times. But i knew tonight it would be someone else’s hands caressing her…she was no longer mine…

  7. The long braid of hair fell to the floor. The sound of the hair hitting the floor seemed ominous, definitive, as though the change symbolized something–that things would never be the same again. A shudder ran through her body as she thought that, but then she smiled. Maybe a change would be for the better. This didn’t have to be a bad thing. She wouldn’t let it be.

  9. Something my mother would do to my hair when I was a little girl. Something I look forward to doing for my little girl. A hair style I wore to my gradutions. Miss my mother. Her fingers running through my hair. Criss cross and pulling tight. j

  10. She spun around, the gold braided down her back as she stared out into the open emerald fields. Angelique thought that today would be the day, the day she would escape from this old tower and her wicked step-father, but she was wrong. It would be just as any other day, where she did her chores and worked her self until she passed out at the end of the night.

  11. A braid is really pretty. My grandma used to braid my hair when I was younger into two ponytails. I think that a braid is a lot stronger than a knot. It makes the hair really wavy unless u put the elastics troo low down and it kinks up the hair in an undesireable location. French braids are pretty but I don’t know how to do them. I keep watching you tube but I still can’t get it. I’d love to learn one day I’d feel super accomplished.

  14. I’ve never had a braid, myself. I’m a boy! Well, my sister had one, once upon a time, but she never liked having them. Our mom would always make them for her, but later on she stuck with just having straight, untouched HAIR. How would you feel if you were told to have your hair a certain way, dress a certain way, or believe a certain religion? That doesn’t happen nowadays, thankfully. But a long time ago that was the case. You either beilieved something, o

  15. I used to braid my hair all the time. It made me look more native american and I loved that. My hair is long and dark and I always thought it looked good in a braid, but one day somebody told me it looked stupid. That stung and I havent braided it sense. Am I stupid for listening? probably.

  16. With a sigh, Oliver undid his (admittedly thick) braid and threw the scrunchie into his suitcase with some amount of force.
While doing so, he lamented why he’d even come here.
Actually, why? he asked himself with a groan. For my sister? No.
Matters weren’t helped by him having just broken up with his girlfriend, and he slammed the case shut with a loud thud.

  17. He liked the braid in my hair, it seems that he liked it more than he liked me, I wish I had known sooner. I thought he was honest, maybe he was, and we just didn’t understand each other.

  18. Misty grabs her little sister’s hair and begins braiding it intricately in her hands. This reminds her of her mother. Her mother passed away five years ago and now they are in a girl’s home just south of London, England. After finishing she rises from the floor, straightening out her dress and starting outside.

  19. Her hair was a tangled, wet mess before. She went swimming in the ocean just hours before her wedding, much to her designer’s dismay. She loved the ocean. Called it her home for the longest time. Her eyes were often set on things beyond the normal view of the people around her.

  20. I like to braid my hair. But its always a skinny braid. I want a long thick braid. A boy would make a naughty joke about that. But it would still be a funny joke. And if he was cute I would laugh harder. Because his cuteness makes me smile constantly.

  23. i learned to braid on accident. Its fun when hair is different colors and it makes a mini portrait in your hair. I have braided my dogs hair and it was silly. I love doing and learning different ways of doing it. I;m fairly bad but I try to learn better. Either way it’s a nice hairstyle and my friend marko braided my hair last night June 30 it was awful!

  24. I used to wear a braid in my hair all the time. It came to define me. Some days I would take it down, but then my hair would be it’s natural curly self, wild and crazy. Sometimes, things would get stuck in it. I guess it’s pretty obvious why I kept it in the braid. Well, that and because I could use it as a weapon in basketball and soccer. Yeah!

  26. Tightening together, a braid seems to not only encompass what life is potentially about, but the very mystery of our purpose and our origin. Everything is a braid eventually. Twist and turn, twist and turn, life goes on monotonously but beautifully.

I used to love talking to her. She was my best confidante, my best friend. On summer evenings we would sit on the porch and she would teach me all the different ways I could braid my hair. She was

  34. Braid is the part of the hair that is inter twined. I think that braids are pretty cool because breanna gohman had one. I also think of indian jones because his wip is braided. Well I think that wips are braided at least. Indiana jones was created by george lucas who is one of my favorite directors.

The feather denotes status, you know.
