I wonder if anyone ever told him that not all things are that easily repaired.

Breath, life, the whisper of exhalation as you feel the vital force you were given at birth leave your lungs and you inhale again trying to recapture its essence, it simple pure power to keep you alive. You do this without even realising this infinitesimal struggle, this unknown war for life that we fight every second of every day until, one day our breath leaves us and we fail to recapture it – it is then that we gasp and die, as suddenly as we lived.

Three breaths ago was 27% of a breath that Thomas Jefferson once took, mixed with 13% Vincent Valentino and 44% Napoleon the remaining percentage is made up of the breaths of the unknown commoners throughout time. Its heady stuff but extremely tough to measure.

  27. Little more than dust, to begin with. Just dust and bones and hair and dead cells; lifeless and abandoned.
Just dust and bones and hair and dead cells, and then one breath; inspired and inspiring.

  28. A simple breath may seem simple enough for most of us, but in fact, the simple action is actually much more complicated than we thought. Our hypothalamus first detected the difference of carbon dioxide and oxygen content in our blood, and then our intercostal muscle and diaphragm is stimulated to contact, ringing an increase in our thoracic cavity and hence the pressure of air inside our lung becomes lower than the atmospheric pressure. As a result, atmospheric pressure rushes in our lung, and then the process of inspiration is finally finished. Ok, I think you probably think of this right now, I am nuts and I am just revising my biology right now. haha.

  32. I liked how you always took my breath away with just that one little glance I stole. It seemed like my heart was always beating faster than usual when I look at you, but then again, that’s natural. I liked you a lot, a whole lot more than the others before. Yet there was just something that was making me breathless when I look at you – it was pain, something you’d try to hide. Like fireflies in the night, fluttering; though lights in the night sky painted a depressing ache in my chest.

  38. when singing it’s important to make sure you have the right breathing technique you don’t just breathe in and out like you usually would in every day life or when exercising. When singing you need to breathe from your diaphragm and if you aren’t capable of doing this you may not be able to achieve all that you are able to. For instance singers like Christina Aguilera are capable of hitting the notes they do because of this talent that they have to breathe ‘efficiently’.
