  1. a house made of bricks sat lonely on an otherwise deserted street. no one went in. no one came out. the brick house was dying because no life sustained it. it’s a known fact that all houses need life inside then to keep them living too. it had been a lot of years since children played in the front yard.

  15. like a brick can fall;
    it bruise your flesh
    or build you up like a wall.

    like a blade of grass can dance;
    it can comfort you
    or prick you, given the chance.

    and to be weary is to be wise;
    it can be a breath of fresh air
    or bring you to a demise.

  16. The brick landed suddenly by my feet. I looked up, and there stood a man gazing down at me. When he notice me glancing at him, he shut the window and I couldn’t see him anymore. There are only ranch style brick homes ranging in different sizes and price ranges. There are very few wooden houses left and the ones that are now are falling. I hope to never go back to north Carolina because it sucks.

  21. The red balance of calamity and security tightly bound itself around my arms and legs. I lay there, wondering where this all began, how it started. But more concerned of how it will end. With a person’s mind enveloped in this colossal elapse of time, drowned in existence, I find myself curious.

  29. It was solid, heavy and dark and sat there looking like it would never move. I don’t suppose the thought of movement had ever even ocured to the person approaching it. Yet, there was the moment when he picked it up and placed it on the wall. Suddenly, it seemed to belong. I marvelled at how readily it had adapted to it’s new location and state of being. Yet, I suppose in retrospect, nothing had really changed at all.

  30. brick is a word that reminds me of walls but walls in a good way, walls of home, shelter that keeps you away from the cold and wind, and others cnt see you through the walls, it makes me think about home that is far away. also bricks make walls that divide ppl that make people separated, sometime walls split families, sometimes ppl build walls because they are afraid, bricks. we are all bricks like they sing in the songs, and we are all the bricks, as we are causing the walls to rise we build the walls by our own actions we are the bricks and we put ourselves between something and that happens all the time. do you feel the same?

  37. Bricks are like the foundations of every building. Unless you go green, then you’d use like cane or something, right? Damn it’s late, and like I told Sydney, I haven’t had my juice. Crankiness never makes for a good companion. Coffee chases it away, but never very well. Then those short damn naps just make everything worse.
