  1. Brunch is a mixture between breakfast and lunch, its a sort of in between meal and it comes with a slice of melon on the side (simpsons). It could also be called elevenses. I associate brunch with having money as it is mid morning when the majority of people would be at work, therefore it is a luxury.

  2. I sat there eating my avacado and buscuits watching the waves crash against the side of the boat. I wasn’t sure if anyone would ever find us. We were alone. In the middle of the pacific ocean, and all we had was this avacado.

  3. Brunch is not what I’m thinking right now. In fact, i just had brunch but it wasn’t good. apart from having my brunch, i was thinking on how to study for tomorrow’s exam. You see, its really important

  4. I went to brunch last Saturday with Klaus’ mother. There were mimosas holding only the finest and juiciest flavor. There was much to choose from but I did not want her to think I would actually eat any of that. I was so nervous, though, all I could do was salivate over the breakfast omelettes and the egg croissants. I lit a cigarette and sighed in nervous frustration as she approached the table.

  5. What’s amazing is that you can have practically anything you want at Brunch. Brunch can be pizza, eggs, bacon, sandwiches – anything. Every year, we do a Mother’s Day brunch for Mom and it usually consists of a lot of things that are not really healthy for you. Oh well, at least its delicious all the time …<3

  6. Don’t you love the feeling of being able to laze around in your bed during the weekends? I do! Starting the day with a good BRUNCH actually makes the whole day a lot more enjoyable… Why? I wonder too!

  7. we agreed to meet at our place for brunch. it was a neutral place, where we could hash out this problem. talk about it. and leave it there never to bring it up again. but, he didn’t show up. i found out 2 days later that he h

  9. i went and had brunch the other day with a good friend. it was nice to finally catch up and i found myself almost forgetting about the complex daily crap i had to do. i needed this. it had been 1 year since the break up and i had sheltered myself. i didn’t want anyone to see where or what i had been doing for the last year.

  10. Brunch is something I do not do in my life very often. I feel it is something you do with friends and family. As I do not have many of them around, I usually just eat on my own, without making special preparations. I guess, it would be nice to have someone to have brunch with every now and then – but it’s not gonna happen in my life soon.

  11. I never really go to brunch, but on how I met your mother marshall goes a fair bit, everyone else thinks its gay unless your in a couple and I agree with this as it is kind of awkward going by yourself to a brunch date thing. :D :D

  12. “What the hell is brunch any ways?” Tom asks.

“Something not as sophisticated as you’d imagine,” Ryan tells him, “It means chicken tacos and light alcohol before you have fish tacos and hard drinks for dinner.”

“Didn’t you and Jon always eat fish tacos?” Tom asks.

Ryan sucks down the rest of his drink. “Yeah,” He says, “We did.”

  13. ive only gone to a fancy brunch once. my stomach didn’t really know what to do so i decided to try everything. i learned mixing shrimp cocktail with orange juice wasn’t a good idea.

  14. I love brunch, don’t you? My brunch usually ends up consisting mainly of breakfast foods, rather than lunch foods, though. I wonder when I’ll have brunch next.

  15. I want to taste you, I do.
    Under the syrup.
    Your teeth crunch through bacon
(crispy, like you asked for, and the waiter
    shook his head
    but smiled
because that’s what everyone asks for).
I want to lean across the table and lick
the butter from your bottom lip.
Would you let me have you for brunch, if I asked?

  16. i like to have brunch because its not too early in the morning. the sun looks beautiful at that time of day, its when i feel most productive. brunch makes me think of memosas, which i love because the full tangerine color is beautiful, even though i don’t drink anymore, i love them.

  17. I eat it. It’s delicious. Pancakes and bacon and breakfast and lunch all rolled into one and I’ve never thought that a sandwich could be both breakfast and lunch, but a girl can be proven wrong.

When he eats brunch, he holds his fork too loosely, and sometimes it clatters onto his plate. Sharp. Loud. Makes me jump and knock over the coffee. I’m clumsy that way. He doesn’t seem to mind.

    Brunch.

  18. The eggs were soggy. Again. Why couldn’t she get it right? It’s not as if she hadn’t tried a thousand times but no, the cooking gene didn’t seem to have passed from her mother onto herself. Which didn’t make the manner of running her restaurant empire after her mother’s death any more appetizing….

  19. brunch, luncht things that rhyme with friut pucnch but you know what ! my woffles hurt my frain is fuzzy and yo momma got shiZZ ijn her nizzy but you know whats better not using the basckaspace key YEAH bitches

  20. Brunch. A combination of breakfast and lunch. A meal with biscuits and tea, or toast and jam. Foods shared around a small table with friends, delicious aromas wafting up to your noses.

    Justine
  21. Brunch is like the anti-meal. It’s not satisfying enough to give you what you want and need from either breakfast or lunch. It gives you half of each, and the worst half at that. Furthermore, most of the time yo have to listen to other people talk while you eat.

    Michael T
  22. I am really hungry. Brunch, food. Fancy food. Food fights hunger. But food does not fight fat. Brunch well make us fatter. Don’t skip meals.

  23. “Okay, let’s just go out for some brunch,” I sighed, giving up.

Of course, I didn’t notice that I had even said the term “brunch” (which I happen to eternally hate). I suppose that being around a friend who can’t even pronounce bologna correctly would influence me in ways I can’t even correctly think about.

  24. I could never tell
    Exactly what it was
    about sunday brunch
that made me want to go back
    each and every week.
    Maybe it was the sandwhiches
that were always exactly the same.
or maybe it was the iced tea.
    Always over sweetened with sugar.
    And then finally I realized
That the reason I came back
    each and every weekend,
    was in hope of catching
a glimpse of your wonderful smile.
    Dressed in your Sunday’s best.
While you sat across the way.
    Your eyes kaleidoscopes,
    filling this average Sunday Brunch
    With wonder.

  25. that delictable meal that comes after you wake up too late for breakie but are too impatient to wait for lunch A fry up for the massive hang over you’re supporting? Or just a simple sweet breakie to start your day off on a light note.

    Sarah
  26. brunch is when people meet each other to show off everything they have. brunch is not as common as lunch and neither does is demand as much from your stomach as breakfast does. At brunch you meet with friends, families and wear your finest pastel shades and pretend to laugh at jokes you dont really find amusing because its “the right thing to do”; what an odd thing it is, brunch.

  27. Sunday brunch.
It was right after church and Sammy’s friends were all going to hang out at Beth’s house until youth group. Sam knew that if he didn’t demand to go with them today, his mother would never give up on treating him like a child and dragging him off to the stuffy Sunday brunch with all the old people – Augh! he hated it!
“I’m going to Beth’s!” he announced.
“That’s ni- NO YOU AREN’T YOUNG MAN!!!” His mother was in full-fledged rage-mode. This was interesting.
“Yes, I am. I refuse to be bored out of my mind by people who are ten times my age!” The last bit was only partially true.
“I will not have you insulting your elders like that!!”
“Except that you cannot tell me that it’s not at least mostly true, mother,”
“I, You, But… ARGH! FINE! But this is the last time!” That was a lie and Sam knew it. He’d won.

  28. An afternoon brunch with Mrs. McLaughlin, the old 96 year-old lady down the street. As she sipped her Earl Grey tea, she relished the moment, as she knew that she was due to be gone anyway. It was the least that I could do for her, and she appreciated the company of the rowdy, neighborhood boy.

  29. I don’t remember the last time I had brunch. Who’s idea was it to make brunch anyway? Are you really that much of a fatty that you can’t wait until lunch to eat again? I bet it was rich people. Who have nothing better to do. “Oh, I’m bored and have all this money and time. I want lunch, but it’s too early… and I already had breakfast… BRUNCH!”

    Rachel
  30. Brunch is a great meal. It means you can sleep in and it’s easy to do: potato pancakes with leftover mashed potatoes, cut up melons and other fruits, nice piping hot pot of coffee, some kind of juice, and maybe some muffins or biscuits.

    Kaila
  31. It’s lunch and breakfast smashed into one. It’s for those days where you h ave no where to go, nothing to do. So you can smash in two meals into one new created one.

    Allie
  32. “let’s brunch!” I said to her today. we will be friends! we will laugh and care about eachother and have fun. and so a friendship was rekindled and tummies were filled. all was right and well in the world. untill the killer bunnies came to attack the happy pink cloud in our memories.

  33. Throwing back the covers that had been keeping her cocooned in her soft bed, she raced for the door. Again. She’d slept in again and now her sister was ringing that doorbell.

    I’m coming, I’m coming!

    Where’s my breakfast?

    You do mean brunch?

  34. Brunch is the time between breakfast and lunch. It’s when you’ve slept in and you get up and it’s after 11 and you’re not sure if you’re eating breakfast or lunch. It’s dozy, mild, crunchy. Or if you got up early, so dark, and ate breakfast in the chill and you can barely remember it.

  35. im not a brunch person, i feel thats like for rich people, gossip girl made me think this and since then its always been that way it be nice though if someone took me out to brunch start of a nice day maybe friendship

  36. I live in a quaint town where brunch is the most popular meal of the day. It always starts off as this beautiful refreshing meal where you are dressed up and the ocean breeze blows through your hair. But by the end of it, your stomach is full and all you want to do is put on your fat sweatpants and sit in fetal position on the couch as you food coma into bliss.

  37. eggs, coffee, coffee, coffee. eggs florentine, strawberries, mimosas. did i say coffee? grandmas in white, floppy hats.

  38. breakfast. lunch. brunch!
     breakfast or lunch?
    who even knows
    because it just shows
how much love there is for both meals
    no matter the appeal
    of one
    or the other
because some say breakfast is better
    or lunch has better crunch
    but you know what?
    that’s why they made brunch.

  39. the middle of lunch and breakfast. full of savory and sweet foods. typically a mimosa is what i think of along with quiche. I also think of it as a happy setting because it is already sunny and the day has already started. Brunch is simple.
