  2. The light bulb went off in the room. She sat quietly, barely breathing, unable to contain her double beating heart. She sat still as stone hoping it would stop, but it did not, it beat on in the dark through the night until she realised she was here to stay. Then the dawn came, flooding the tired room, beckoning her back to the world.

  4. A bulb is something used to light up a room in the dark. I could write about inventions, but it’s better to write about light and darkness, as they’re thins fundmental to us. Light fills us the dark, pushing it back, converting dark into light and becoming a greater light. This is what we must do within, to convert all that is dark in us into light, to change a d become more.

    He sighs as he wonders in from the kitchen, smiling bemusedly at her glare that’s directed towards the ceiling.

    “You want me to change the light?”

    She just smiles impishly in return.

  11. The light went off in his head. The reason, the purpose, the answer, everything. A revelation of sorts. Thus he went his way, enlightened and proud. He kept this as a secret. A very deep secret, as if he was to cherish it and those who cared for it would not receive it. They were not worthy like he was. He was a proud, selfish, foolish man.

  20. like a light like a plant. bulbs are a symbol of life and light and in general a little sprout of hope opening up into a being or into a beacon. When I was smaller i would follow my mother into her garden and plant a few bulbs, back when I thought gardening was for me. Who knows, it could be still.

  26. I see a light bulb right in front of me. It’s part the lamp above our kitchen table. The nights grow longer these days, summer is almost over, and I need the light on. Sad but true. August is here, and soon September, and then it’s winter. I haven’t enjoyed this summer enough, just some work, and then wasting time.

  31. Me and my sister have this thing, and inside joke, something about lightbulbs. It’s completely at my expense but I could care less about that because it’s something for us. I can’t look at a light without smiling, just a little.

  34. Plants are really something. Can’t say it takes my mind to an entirely wholesome place, though, when I think about plants. Because they’re basically just going at it all the time, forever. Every trip into the garden is a constant orgy of plant proliferation and procreation. All this sin lodged in your front yard, surrounded by teeming piles of dirt.

  37. There are a couple different kinds of bulbs, right? Light bulb and plant bulb. Everybody knows about lightbulbs. I wonder how many people wrote about that?
    Plant bulbs are kinda cool though. I don’t really like onions, but onion bulbs are really fun to plant. I’m not sure what other kinds of plants have bulbs though…

  38. The light bulb was held inside it’s container by the smallest of devices. It didn’t seem like much usually the light bulb is forgetten and not thought about. Yet it lights up a room. The light bulb keep smonsters at bay, it shows the way through dark areas, it helps create a mood between two lovers. The light bulb gets no credit for the things it does and yet it will continue to do them light the obediant servant that it is.
