  32. It’s time to pull out the streamers and put them up all around your room again. It’s time to let the confetti go, and to sing and dance, until we’re not standing any longer. It’s time to dance, boy. Dance until I’m beside you the way I’ve wanted to be for a while now, until we were doing the horizontal tango, and fall asleep pillowed oddly atop one another. 38. it was a great plan, so they decided to celebrate. the record played loud 60’s music as Harry and Gabrielle danced together to the beat, it was a small thing just spontaneous among the 7 teenagers. Mark sat at one end of the room as Irina sat at the other. Mark was staring, studying her. Irina couldn’t take it as she walked silently out on to the veranda in the backyard. Mark following moments later. “What’s wrong?” he said to her as his hand settled on her cold shoulders. they were both staring out at the endless garden the starry night. Irina didn’t answer. “It’s a great plan” he said again. But Irina stayed quiet, calm and lost in her own thoughts. Mark pulled her around to face him. And as Irina looked into his dark brown eyes she could help but think that Mark had brought the music out with him. She had a blank face. She had known Mark for years now.
