A minute feels like a century when I am waiting to see you. I get the shakes. Completely impatient. It’s all worth the wait. 100 years of anticipation in 60 seconds.

One hundred times I told her I loved her. I bought her countless flowers, made my thoughts known thgough a million gestures and words. I lived my life around her.
Finally she believes me. And so I am happy.

It was a century old, this thing. I mean, really freaking old. Covered in dust, cracked, the whole bit. “Is this a joke?” I asked, crouching under the eaves of the attic. He shook his head. I turned it over in my hands and exhaled deeply. “This isn’t funny,” I said. “Are you sure?”
A.
It wasn’t that long ago that I thought this one would be the last.
She wouldn’t have understood that, too above it all, too aloof to care. Her hair blew in the wind as I watched her dance along the edge of the ocean and I couldn’t help but smile.
All of this wasn’t supposed to be here. Not now. Not so long after the fact.
Her dark hair, her bright smile, her warm embrace.
Her.
It’s not so bad afterall.

oh apparently they can’t verify that i’m a US citizen? what the fuck? sometimes i just think this country is not worthy anymore. maybe it’s a sign that i should go home? i fucking voted, and all i get is this shit? fuck that.

this century was one of violence and change. Many bad and many good things happened but yet we didn’t find peace or plenty for all men and woman? Why? 2000 years of religion didn’t do it, 200 years of science has yet to do it. Who knows what the next century could possibly bring? Maybe an end to all prejudice and fear? That would be fantastic would it not? Or maybe just plenty for all..that would be good too.

Im not sure what to write about but I make a lot of bad desicions. I know Im better than this so why do I still do it. Its like my mind and my human body have diffrent ideas. Im nt sure what to do about it.

One hundred years. For so long a time, one century made such little difference in the progression of humankind. Yet, in the last hundred years… progression has not only sped up, but exponentially accelerated.
Michael Cortes
It’s been a century since the fire destroyed my family’s graveyard. Our old and dying relatives had to relocate to a newer one ten miles away. They would never be with their family, their loved ones. THey died not in happiness, but in grief.

What is a century. A century is 100 years or 1200 months. It’s huge amount of time. Time that for once can be decided into units. A century is one of thoses units…
Ahotep
the last century, is when I was born. I know it sounds like I’m old, well maybe I am but not unnecessarily. I’m only 32, and I think that last century was better than this one

it seems like a century ago since I last saw him, tall silhouette standing in the doorway, eyes piercing through my soul; he was the one who awakened me, body and soul, to things I hadn’t felt in so long

At the turn of the century (the year 3000) some pretty ordinary things started happening again. It wasn’t long before people were getting married again, because they felt this thing some called “love,” which had been dismissed by most people as something that was “so 1990s.”

I fucking love the XXI Century. A century filled with tecnology, and i love tecnology. Is a Century filled with love, hapiness, wishes, dreams ..

A century is beyond a lifetime. A grouping of years that one dreams to see. So many great things can come from a century with terrible things joining along the way. A century is beautiful, full of enjoyment and wonder. As the greatness evolves evil enters and the century becomes tarnished.

It always bugs me so much that we are in the 21st century but the first two digits of the year is 20. arg. it’s not so confusing now, but when your studying history it messes me up. Numbers are cool.

we live in the 21st century. cenury is another way of saying 100. like in cricket when you make a century you have made 100 runs. making a century in a ODI is not an easy thing to do on ly the top crickeiters can make centuries and that too not with ease.

century 21. they are a real estate company. i have moved many times in my life. every five years growing up and every single year since high school. i’ve lived in many places but no matter where i go my life follows me. sometimes i feel like by moving i can escape it but i always bring myself with me. and whether or not i can fit all my belongings easily into my car, i have a lot of baggage i can’t get rid of.

I really miss One Word
Jane Strange
I listened to One Word more often than any other programme. I specially enjoyed Paul Blezard’s interviews and Nick Duncart’s (and have forgotten his colleague’s name) film reviews, also Hayley Radford’s arts programme. I really miss One Word. I hope all those who worked on the programme have been able to find fulfilling alternatives and will be able to use their broadcasting talents again.

Drifting weightlessly through the darkness. Tucked and curled around itself, storing energy, storing vitality. Fueled by the need for atonement, it waits patiently, floating past stars and plants, among meteors and asteroid fields.

century. it’s a time that affects the place in our lives. a century ago was just a few years. just a decade, but a century instead.
those times were so simple. so fun and innocent.
our century was without doubt or pain or anger.
this century is change.
this century is our place.

It’s been a century since I’ve seen you. Well, at least, it feels like a century. It’s weird; as the years go by, the days go faster and a year passes in the blink of an eye but when I’m missing you it makes the seconds last an eternity and the days infinity. But a century is well worth the wait if you’re at the end.

century. A hundred long arduous years and yet more still stretch before me. Countless centuaries. Countless millenia until I’m not myself anymore but some twisted shell with nothing left to see. Countless years and no one to share them with. No friends. No family. The word ‘immortal’ can be thrown around and it crashes into the centuries and no one understands. No one feels that it hurts more than you could even imagine.
Lya
i hope i never live that long.

It was the end of the century, fin de siecle and all that. then why did she feel so despondent? She should have felt limitless horizons stretching out before her – she still had so long to live. Sh was after all, only 202. She hadn’t even chosen a life mate, nor a calling. But she only saw the years stretching behind her and thought of the waste. There were so many things she could have done, contributred, given and yet she had done none of it. Instead she had read. and read. and read. There were those who would argue that was a noble pursuit – to honor those who had gone before by reading their offerings – validating there efforts. After all, if no one read their books – what was the point of their writing them? She was only up to the Ps.

century…this is our century…what to do? what have we seen in this century…why do i keep typing sentury? what will be known for in this century…war, starvation, oil consumption corruption…is this what we want?

centuries ago. people thought the same thoughts. they are probably written down in books, waiting to be rethought. Here they are, now.

100 yrs. a long time, seeing the birth of the car and the death of the steam engine. technology changes, but where is it going? the next century isn’t going to bring us star wars, or star trek, you know. keep trying for that hover car. i doubt i’ll be here, but i’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. i always wanted a hoverboard, just like “back to the future” …maybe i wouldn’t fall on my ass.

The centuries turn like so many pages in a book that will never end. Each page bringing the dawn of a new age, the start of a new civilization, of new creations, of new discoveries. Until the end of time will this book turn, the past pages turning into dust, and the fresh new pages waiting to be written upon.

It was a turn of the century, Starting with mary Shelly’s novel Frankenstein. This provided new ideas, such as the many philophies provided within the story. The idea of “Nature vs. Nurture” relates back to Lockes idea of “tabuala Rasa.
