  1. change.
it never seems to come. sometimes i think i must be, i have to be, holding myself back for some reason, otherwise i would be able to make the changes that so desperately need to happen. the only thing is, i have no idea what those changes are. i need to change. i want to change. i just don’t know what i need to change in order for my life to truly change.

  2. Today I sat tear eyed and stuffy nosed as I watched history being made. The first African American president to seat himself appropriately in the presidents seat. What an amazing country we live in!

    Susan Conway
  3. We’ve got a new president. That’s a big change. But we’ve still got the same people. Have their hearts changed? We’re making history, but if inside we hold our same hatreds, if we hold our rejection of love in our hearts and separate ourselves from our neighbor, what good is it? I saw a children’s book the other day, with the verses about Love. Love is humble and kind and sees us through all things. That is where the success of change will come from.

    Allison
  4. TODAY is a day of grat promise and great change. The world as we know it has taken a new direction built on a foundation of hope and trust. TODAY is the day that each of us will decide if we will participate, if we will follow or try to lead, if we will carry the message to others

  5. change is good but it’s also really scary. It’s the one thing you can count on. It’s the one thing you either can love or hate. Change can be good, I guess. But for most of us, we don’t change unless we have to. Maybe we should start seeing change as the glass half full – a chance to make ourselves better than we were.

    Linda W
  6. Today is all about change. Change in weather for me. See, it is too damn cold for me to do anything right now. Just be cold. I need a change. I need it to be WARM. I need it to be nice enough to run outside. I just need this horrible chill to go away. Like now. Changeity change change change .

  7. Inevitable, better to flow with it as the leaf on the stream than to try to fight the currents. Look for the best path in the fast rapids, hold on if you need to but know you will do better if you relax into it. DO not fear it, face it instead with curiousity and openness. TO reject it will probably not change the inevitability of it and will most likely make it take longer to deal with and expend more of your energy. Sometimes it’s needed even when you don’t think you want it. You might be happier. You might not. But it will come, so roll onward and know if you don’t like where you are you will have chances to change it to something you do like. Be the catalyst for positive change for others and the planet.

  9. I think Barack Obama is the voice for change. This feels incredibly boring in light of the fact that his entire campaign was based on this premise, but since he was just inaugurated barely an hour ago, it is what is brightest in my mind. So many things need to change, and it needs to start with each of us – writers, teachers, florists. We all need to make a change NOW.

    Christine Mason Miller
  10. Change is the offering of a new way, a new time, a new space. Change recommends a preferred improvement, a time to grow, to collaborate, to emerge. Change is a challenge. Change brings hope and renewed inspiration. Change adds life and spirit and dreams to the present state of being. Change redeems and makes bigger. Change brings enlightenment.

    Carol Jones

  17. Change is fear mixed with hope. The promise of hope in a new President and the fear of economic collapse is sure to collide with change the sum of the equation. As we pose on the cusp of the unknown, we are hopeful that the future ahead will be brighter and better for us all while we wonder what to fix for dinner tonight from the bare cupboard. Change….hurry up!!

    Sheri Kicklighter
  18. Boy I hope this is the sign of change! I was moved by the quiet way Obama told us about the changes in America that we will all work toward. I heard a gentleman say, as he was interviewed at his essentiall front ‘row’ seat at the Inaguration that many years ago listening to MLKing that the Holiday Inn wouldn’t even give him a room. I think the biggest change will be in the pride that all Americans will embrance and work for in order to be Americans.

  22. I believe that change can only occur when one deems it a priority in their everyday lives. Change can come about in a myriad of ways, but only when truly committed can the change come about in a fastidious way.

    Kacey
  23. sometimes change is good, sometimes its not, but its constant. As a matter of fact its the only consistency in life. Whatever the change is, good or bad, we must embrace it and make it all it can be, if it is nonfavorable and can harm someone, then we must do every thing in our power to make what happen? CHANGE

  26. President Barak Obama in his inagural speech did not so much mention the word “Change” as he implied a clear departure from the divisiveness that has preceded him. In issuing a promise to the world to change the way America will approach its neighbors, Obama promised strength without making threats. This change has been a long time coming.

  30. It happened today. Obama’s presidency is change incarnate. I’m also changing. That bitch… I hate her, I think. I don’t believe how she could do that to me. It’s not right, it’s not fair. But I still love her, and wish her the best. All I can do is take care of myself now, move on. All I can do… is change. Move on. Have fun. At the end of the day, put myself in position to win.

I decided at an early age that I was never going to be beautiful, so I would develop a great personality! I think I was seven! And to this day I believe that is what prompted my view of the world with humor, love flexibility, passion and loyalty.
