change.
it never seems to come. sometimes i think i must be, i have to be, holding myself back for some reason, otherwise i would be able to make the changes that so desperately need to happen. the only thing is, i have no idea what those changes are. i need to change. i want to change. i just don’t know what i need to change in order for my life to truly change.

Today I sat tear eyed and stuffy nosed as I watched history being made. The first African American president to seat himself appropriately in the presidents seat. What an amazing country we live in!
Susan Conway
We’ve got a new president. That’s a big change. But we’ve still got the same people. Have their hearts changed? We’re making history, but if inside we hold our same hatreds, if we hold our rejection of love in our hearts and separate ourselves from our neighbor, what good is it? I saw a children’s book the other day, with the verses about Love. Love is humble and kind and sees us through all things. That is where the success of change will come from.
Allison
TODAY is a day of grat promise and great change. The world as we know it has taken a new direction built on a foundation of hope and trust. TODAY is the day that each of us will decide if we will participate, if we will follow or try to lead, if we will carry the message to others
Julie
change is good but it’s also really scary. It’s the one thing you can count on. It’s the one thing you either can love or hate. Change can be good, I guess. But for most of us, we don’t change unless we have to. Maybe we should start seeing change as the glass half full – a chance to make ourselves better than we were.
Linda W
Today is all about change. Change in weather for me. See, it is too damn cold for me to do anything right now. Just be cold. I need a change. I need it to be WARM. I need it to be nice enough to run outside. I just need this horrible chill to go away. Like now. Changeity change change change .

Inevitable, better to flow with it as the leaf on the stream than to try to fight the currents. Look for the best path in the fast rapids, hold on if you need to but know you will do better if you relax into it. DO not fear it, face it instead with curiousity and openness. TO reject it will probably not change the inevitability of it and will most likely make it take longer to deal with and expend more of your energy. Sometimes it’s needed even when you don’t think you want it. You might be happier. You might not. But it will come, so roll onward and know if you don’t like where you are you will have chances to change it to something you do like. Be the catalyst for positive change for others and the planet.

I think Barack Obama is the voice for change. This feels incredibly boring in light of the fact that his entire campaign was based on this premise, but since he was just inaugurated barely an hour ago, it is what is brightest in my mind. So many things need to change, and it needs to start with each of us – writers, teachers, florists. We all need to make a change NOW.
Christine Mason Miller
Change is the offering of a new way, a new time, a new space. Change recommends a preferred improvement, a time to grow, to collaborate, to emerge. Change is a challenge. Change brings hope and renewed inspiration. Change adds life and spirit and dreams to the present state of being. Change redeems and makes bigger. Change brings enlightenment.
Carol Jones
change your attitude change someone’s life change your mind…it’s OK to do that change can be good change can be healthy we need change, but not for the sake of change, for the better, for all of us

New ideas to replace old. Go with it. Now is the time
to imbrace something different. I love to change things even if I don’t like it just so I can change it back later. I enjoy, embrace change.
Change is good. It keeps us active, alive. Non-complacenecy is my credo.

Change is fear mixed with hope. The promise of hope in a new President and the fear of economic collapse is sure to collide with change the sum of the equation. As we pose on the cusp of the unknown, we are hopeful that the future ahead will be brighter and better for us all while we wonder what to fix for dinner tonight from the bare cupboard. Change….hurry up!!
Sheri Kicklighter
Boy I hope this is the sign of change! I was moved by the quiet way Obama told us about the changes in America that we will all work toward. I heard a gentleman say, as he was interviewed at his essentiall front ‘row’ seat at the Inaguration that many years ago listening to MLKing that the Holiday Inn wouldn’t even give him a room. I think the biggest change will be in the pride that all Americans will embrance and work for in order to be Americans.

always… or you stagnate and you lose what’s important to you because you’re not aware that the change is going to happen anyway so you better be with it from the get go.
Change is good and though it’s unsettling, you eventually ease into it and realize the change was usually for the best.

Change is good.
I can taste it in the air now.
It’s coming and it won’t be taking any prisoners.

Needed. Can’t wait. Nervousness. Some people like it some don’t. I wish I could change some things about me or my past. Change time. Change my sex. Change what I do. Change my life. Change things about work.

I believe that change can only occur when one deems it a priority in their everyday lives. Change can come about in a myriad of ways, but only when truly committed can the change come about in a fastidious way.
Kacey
sometimes change is good, sometimes its not, but its constant. As a matter of fact its the only consistency in life. Whatever the change is, good or bad, we must embrace it and make it all it can be, if it is nonfavorable and can harm someone, then we must do every thing in our power to make what happen? CHANGE

President Barak Obama in his inagural speech did not so much mention the word “Change” as he implied a clear departure from the divisiveness that has preceded him. In issuing a promise to the world to change the way America will approach its neighbors, Obama promised strength without making threats. This change has been a long time coming.

change is necessary, change is good, change is global. change will take us to the next level. change we must if we will take back our neighborhoods

I keep praying, hoping, longing for change.
But nothing has changed just yet.
And I refuse to lose hope that it will all be the same a year from now.
But so many times I’ve been disappointed, and change never comes.

It happened today. Obama’s presidency is change incarnate. I’m also changing. That bitch… I hate her, I think. I don’t believe how she could do that to me. It’s not right, it’s not fair. But I still love her, and wish her the best. All I can do is take care of myself now, move on. All I can do… is change. Move on. Have fun. At the end of the day, put myself in position to win.
Marshall
Today the world has changed. If it is for the better we will find out. I hope for a change. I pray for a change. I want a change. But in order for this change to succeed we need to be active. We can no longer sit on the sidelines and whine. We need to stand up.

Change the way that you dress. Change the way that you act. Change the way that you treat others. Change your resolutions as the year goes on. There are so many things in life that I try to change as I live. Change is good … right? We should change our eating habits and our behaviors from time to time … right?

Yay. Hooray. Today IS super fabulous. Changes. Laughter. Smiles & tears. Hope and joy is united as a backdrop to the band that plays before us. Here we are. Here we go. Hooray for the Innauguaration!

From changing the sheets to changing my mind – the word “change” can “change”. We can work for Change or we can keep a jar of spare change. I’ve had to change a flat tire and I’ve been happy to be able to rest….for a change!
Change sounds funny if you say it fifteen times in a row – funny how the very sound of the word changes the more times you use it!
Hey…..this was fun – I may not have changed the world with this exercise but I certainly changed my direction of thought for today.

change is good. change hurts. change is inevidable. change is always around the corner and cannot be ignored. choosing not to change is choosing a method of change. change is scary and fun. change is natural and should be embraced. change is a comin’. changing is now.

I haven’t really changed that much since I was six years old. In appearance, yes, of course. But my heart, my personality, my character is much the same. I decided at an early age that I was never going to be beautiful, so I would develop a great personality! I think I was seven! And to this day I believe that is what prompted my view of the world with humor, love flexibility, passion and loyalty.

Obama. today is a day for change. make a shange today becasue tomorrow may be too late. Why put off today what you could change for tomorrow. make an impact. leave your footprint. be someone. decide who you want to be and make that who you are right now–change
