  2. What is chrome? Some gangsta who thinks his chrome is better than his bro’s? Or some preppy white boy trying to act like he’s a gangsta? Sure, its a term for a car, but I think that this noun needs to become redefined.

  7. I’ve got a chrome-plated heart and it’s shining in the light, sheened silver with gilded armour. There’s a little figure beating on it; hammering his fists against the wall, trying to get inside the vast fortress, dwarfing him.

I don’t even feel his blows upon my armour, because I’m the one with a chrome-plated heart, and it’s killing him.

    Claire

  12. The chrome bath handle slipped as she fell. She had 12 stab wounds decorating her back, the blood being the garnish. She was still semi-conscious, all the while thinking “Why has this happened to me? What have I done?”
What she didn’t know was that her attacker was not the endearing type. All he saw was flesh, not emotions, not heart.

    Rhiannon Mustang
  13. I opened my eyes, head throbbing. I saw black asphalt stretching ahead of me, felt said asphalt hot and sticky against my cheek. Or maybe that wasn’t asphalt I felt, but blood. My whole body ached terribly, and several car alarms were going off. Screams and ambulance sirens added to the cacophony of chaos. My eyes rolled up with much effort – I spotted my reflection in the dented chrome bumper of a car. I was a crumpled mess – and now I remembered how exactly I’d ended up bleeding in the middle of the road.
