  1. It is somewhat more than an enemy, but people are not fully aware for they think it is their friend.

It is indeed a great blasphemy on the part of anyone patronizing and recognizing it as their ligitimate friends forever.

He knew it was covered in blood, he knew he had lung cancer. He just couldn’t stop.

    i feel like i’m cool.

i do it only when i’m with my friends.

  8. a cigarette can be many things- it can be a statement of sorts. a fashion statement, a statement of defiance, and a statement of not caring. in a book i once read, it was said that “you smoke for fun, I smoke to die.” a cigarette can be used as a tool to unlock something once not had, or it can be just to feel good.

  9. This is an interesting word. I keep getting the word cigarette, no matter which way I go, or which way I turn. I always manage to get this word. Quite interesting really if you think about it. This is kinda fun and interesting all at the same time. Times up!

  10. Nasty. I hate the life sucking, stinking air about them. The backdrop of all convienace store clerks. I’d personally want a better juxtaposition for myself. So commonplace, they take lives so expectantly.

  11. The cigarette hung from the corner of his mouth with a nonchalance that I’d always wished that I could muster. He had a sort of smile about him that was envious. I could have watched him for hours, but I could not. Work beckoned to me.

  12. pretty sure ive had this one already and im sick of writing about something I smoke everyday. yeah i love them what the fuck ever. half of the people i know smoke for reasons that im sure they wont wanna write up here guess im just bitter. i dont know anymore. i give up. this is ridiculous.

  13. My fingers shake as I reach into the small cardboard box. With these next few moments I will pollute my airways. Just as you polluted my heart. Addictive and necessary, a chemical my mind can’t resist. You circulate through my veins, slowly eroding away at my ability to breath. My heart pounds a little faster when I hear your voice, and my mind races. I know you’re bad for me. The taste you leave in my mouth, while wanted, is unpleasant. I can feel your breathing pushing against mine in the night. I get up and go outside again, looking to escape your presence. The cool summer breeze is fresher then the scent of you, left, still lingering, on my skin. Acrid as the smoke left on my teeth and clothes. The resemblance is uncanny. You’re bad for me and I know it. I think through ways to erase you from my life as my hands twitch, flick, light, and I take a drag from the last cigarette in my pack. I consider the day when the pack of love you have for me runs out. I inhale. Soon, it will be that day. All too soon.

  17. The butt hits the floor like a bomb. ashes bounce from the lit end, she lifts her foot and smashes it against the pavement, along with her past. This is a new beginning, and she’s never looking back.

For now, I don’t regret the decision but I’m still kind of sick and sore throatey so obviously it’s easy to resist them. “Smoking, really? Isn’t that a bit old fashioned?” He asked.

Jack looked into the rain. “My best friend hates me, I’ve been lying to all my friends for years and now it looks like I’m being jettisoned out of the closet by a catapult. Old habits die especially hard sometimes.”

Ben took the cigarette, put it between his own lips and let Jack light it. He inhaled deeply and passed it back.

Coughing a bit, Ben smiled. “Yeah, life’s a bitch, ain’t it.”
