  2. one word.. can mean so much and yet very little. it makes me think of how precious words are and how much many people do not care to put meaning behind their words. of all the men and women i have met and loved to be betrayed because of their lies or lack of thought. the world would be filled with such passion and love and respect if we all just sat back, thought about our words and make the best responsible choice.

  3. It was a classic sort of place. A wonderful French bistro with walls covered in yellowing wallpaper. The flowers on the table looked freshly picked and the floor was well worn. The servers spoke softly and with great sophistication, presenting the menu with grace.

  4. music. car. what makes it classic? why do we need to identify the good stuff?

  5. beauty, simple chic. my mom. I love the classic style of old Hollywood, i wish that it was back in style and that we weren’t so over stimulated that we have to see all of the parts of humans that make us want to see more. it should be a mystery that is classic style.

    Alison
  6. Classic is as classic does. Classic is past, present, future. And some things are cliche for a reason. A good reason.

    Annis
  7. Classic coke. Classic movies. Too bad another perfectly good word has been overused, its meaning wrung from it like water from a towel on the bathroom floor. What’s classic any more? Who decides? Who cares? Stop yanking my chain.

    kevin
  8. The car was a classic. It was a Flint, navy blue, with suicide doors and automatic windows. It had been fully restored and brought the crowd around to see it. Many of the judges had never seen one.

    Becky
  9. Classic is something with intergrity. Something that has charcter like wine or something. I’ve always thought of being classic as a lofty goal-something to achieve through hard work. It is something that seems so far and yet something so admirable.

    Anastasia

  13. Some things are classic. Some are not. Its hard to really tell the difference sometimes…for example what if you came about a movie that you have never heard of….i dunno. Do you pick it up. No. That would be absurd, throwing you into another dimension…that would be bullshit.

    Ethan
  14. I always thought about how classic things were. My friends would talk about classic music, or classic rock, but you know. I never really knew what a classic was. I didn’t think it was right that some people decided what the classics were. Who ever said they were able to decide what they were? Does it matter if you don’t appreciate the classics as much as the other stuff you like? Does it mean you have bad taste? Who cares if they’re old? It just means that they were written in a different time period.

    Jeremy
  15. an old car we remember from school days. Statues in the national museum of Naples. Traditions in England, the Royals on parade. Recipes for French cooking.

  16. there is inherent brilliance in classics that nobody can distinguish why it exists. it could be its timlessness or its ability to hold an audience and captivate them in its entirety. but why then are so few classics being made in today’s time. if it all. why can’t we write classics? we’re the greats greater than us? are we gradually getting dumber and lack the ability to create something new? i worry about this. its depressing.

  21. Classic, when I hear the word classic, it reminds me of classic rock and how iconic it was for the formation of most of today’s bands and other popular music artists. Where would we be today without Elvis, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Steve Miller Band, or the Eagles? Well, let’s hope that the Jonas brothers stop making music soon because they are garbage.

  22. I listen to the symphony. My heart flutters to the rhythm and the beat of melody. My mind soars as the music paints a celestial landscape. Why don’t they make music like this anymore?

    classic rock. old things.

  24. Classic beauty, classic cars, classic anything. I smile with a classic smile and I walk in my classic shoes but I never, never feel classic. I guess I’m so permanently stuck in the now that I can’t embrace the nostalgia that goes with the word. It’s too much for me, I guess.

    Eva
  25. Classic is awesome. But classic is also fairly boring, since it implies a certain measure of familiarity with the topic at hand. Meaning, of course, if you are not familiar with said topic, you’re virtually screwed since you will have nothing to contribute to the conversation at hand.

    krazyorange

  29. Classic movies are always so overrated. Everyone loves them because they’re “classics.” So freaking what? Maybe a classic sucks. Seriously. Sometimes I wonder what made that movie a classic. Maybe it was its supreme suckiness. We need to replace those classics with stuff from now. A lot of it is way better, anyway. Classics suck, end of story.

    Mary

    Mallika Brooks
  37. classically people are lacking. It’s sad, we forget where we came from, and become lost in where we’re going. We shouldn’t be consumed in the past, but still learn and appreciate it. Hip-hop is a good example, music has evolved to something new entirely.

    Greyson

Classic is the friendship that never dies, even after you do. Classic is everything but old.
