Things get tricky when work and home start to blend into one another. Without time to properly decompress after the events of the day–time I technically have, but choose not to give myself in favor of burying my nose into my screens–it becomes difficult to separate the stress of life from the stress of work. Power going out, sideways glances from once-friendly coworkers, fridge shedding its rime, requests for updates on projects I haven’t had the space to even think about, all vying to occupy the same space of this crowded, stuck elevator. It’s difficult to keep the mind clean when the space around me is so messy.
