I was climbing higher thant he brids, the sky was at my fingertips and the clouds were cookie cutter shapes in the sky.
I climbed so far that the rock stopped and the invisible stairs began, up and up.
until…
the clouds turned to smoke
and I was plunging back down into the murky waters of my addiction.

I like to go climbing with my dad. Rock climbing, that is. My mom doesn’t understand it, but then again, my dad doesn’t really understand the appeal in the whole “running thing”. I think that a lot about climbing is the idea in conquering the top, reaching the unreachable. It’s a very id-like experience, as well, with sore hands and feet but rewarding and dirty, at the end.
Ivy climbs up the trellis. Is a trellis like a ladder-type thing that’s made specifically for ivy? I think so.

i was climbing on a hill and i saw a big fat horse and then i started to climb a tree and fell off but landed on the ground like a cat. Climbing is a strange thing for humans to do becuase it isnt ideal for our evolutuion

Up into the trees and sky beyond.
We build our paths to the stars,
With but a simple motion of the hand and foot.
Step by step, to the ends.

the ladder is there so is the tree but most are social. Hey a muggy old mountain does me. Where would I want to be.

my friend once said that we were not what you would really call “normal people”. that is because we have the hobby of climbing to the top of buildings. this started seven months ago as a kind of joke, but quickly developed into a full time mental and physical occupation.

to climb is the pinnacle of success – to get to where you’re going is beyond expectation and desire. to get to where you’re going is an achievement that many do not make in their lifetimes – they must return and begin the climb again. sometimes they fall. some get up and start again, others declare the climb too hard and simply stop –
Myella
climb, go.
higher, achieve, to climb is to push yourself to do better, to go higher, climb a tree. dangerous, but once you get to the top, amazing.

mountain village was soon destroyed by the feiry dragon and all was lost. Though fortunatly every little gnome climbed to their destination with ease as they were all good clibers and climbing hills was second nature to them.
climbing trees is fun for everyone when your flying ok? i dont know what else tosay I think I pretty much covered all grounds on climbing, I mean there is rock climbing ad other sorts of climbing.
Stephen Rondeau
I climb to the top of a mountain and enter a cave when I look around no one else is here with me. I scream at the top of my lungs just to hear a voice. It is beautiful, I wish I could always have this stillness. I climb to the top.
Jane Carmack
To climb is to trancend the majest that is in fact the greatest obstacle posed to mankind: a steep inclination of truns and crannys and -oh, who am I kidding. To climb is nothing special, and such a feat has been accomplished time and time again through the ages.
Jack Lemmon
I climb the tree outside all the time and every day I think to myself I will jump off a higher branch. Today I think I have found the highest branch there is. But for the life of me I can’t find a reason to jump. The view up here is so nice I want to stay for the sun set. People can’t bother me up here and I know that I am way higher than them.

Climb is a pointless word. Various more intelligent sounding words can be used in the place of climb, ascend, scale and many others, all of which make you sound more intelligent and confident, I therefore urge the public to never say this insipid word ever again, together we can defeat redundancy.

climbing rocks out in the moutain under the sun with a good out going girl by my side the fresh air the wilderness sky so water so blue its like a birror reflects the image of the mountains in it u get to the top of your climb and u feel aco0mplished u rose earlie jsut to see the sun at the highet of its day and now u feel the gratitude for the fun and earht around.

I walked up the hill for several minutes, stopping only to look into people’s windows. the climb was so steep, that the whole world looked crooked. I could see the baldspots of elderly men. I watched kids move their trucks on an angle.

climbing, striving, reaching for the top unable to stop. driven by unseen, unknowable forces that lie beneath the surface of the skin, beyond the surface of thought. pushed harder and harder by God knows what.
Jonathan DuBois
The man was standing at the base of the cliff getting his gear together when he saw the grizzly charging. He leapt and scrabbled up the rock face, no time to think, then he slipped down and the bear put his fore arm in her jaws, and tore off the arm at the elbow. He began climbing again, now weak with blood. He made it up 20 feet, to a ledge. Then he looked down. He had never seen a grizzly climb rock so well.
Dennis Hassell
THIS IS WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU WANT TO ASCEND. ITS FANTASTIC BECAUSE IT LETS YOU GET FROM ONE PLACE LOWER THAN THE OTHER TO ANOTHER PLACE HIGHER THAN THAT. THIS IS HOW YOU GET TO MOUNT EVEREST. DON’T LET ANYONE FOOL YOU, THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT. YOU DON’T GET TO MOUNT EVEREST BECAUSE YOU HAVE WATER AND O2, BUT BECAUSE YOU CAN CLIMB!
MALVIKA BHATIA
climbing is a fun thing to do on a sunny day when the wind is blowing in your face. it seemingly gives into your animal like wants and needs. monkeys have fun with it, and so do i.

I was climbing up the side of the old building, but I couldn’t get my footing just right. The entire place smelled like piss, and the walls were chalky to the touch. But the second story seemed so promising, so wildly high and full of possibility. Besides, I bet the people who piss in old houses without stairs are often not caught climbing their way to upper stories. The booze hinders the climbing quite a bit, I’d think. Though, who knows. Maybe it makes them fearless.

I like to climb trees. I remember once when I was climbing trees I with a friend and we climbed all the way up to the very top of the tallest tree in my yard. Unfortunately he fell out of the tree and broke his arm =/. After that, mom didn’t let me climb up the tree any more.. I still climb up the tree from time to time now though. Same tree that’s still in my front yard.

My biggest fears are all right in front of me. A towering mountain, thousands of miles high awaits me. I look at it, theres no turning back now. I tread up, short paniky breaths are all I can take. After a few minutes, I am paralyzed with fear. My biggest fear-heights-has finally made me confront it.

to the highest peak imaginable. Not physically but spiritually. Simple push your self to the highest point you find imaginable, climb higher. Don’t stop, your not dead yet. You must keep climbing. Further, further, just keep climbing. Then the day comes where you climb no more.
Troy
I climbed. I climbed and climbed. It was intense. The wind was everywhere; birds circled me; the rocks punctured the creases in my hands, gripping so close and so hard to that rock. I couldn’t climb. I couldn’t go any further. I looked down; oh God, I looked down. Down was down indeed, a very down place was below me on my climb. I had to continue.
Will Damian
i cant climb because i smoke. i have asthma and i smoke. like everything else in my life, i pick up a bad habit to encourage an illness, to avoid doing things that are good for me. the end.

climbing is what people do when they reacha cliff and don’t understand how to levitate up it. if they were only to learn how to climb quicker, they could create the illusion that they were levitating up it. but, no they have to go so slow and cause a line to form at the base of the cliff all because they wont take the time to learn how to climb quickly. losers.
bennett van hoff
I like to climb trees like a monkey in the jungle. Yesterday as I was walking through campus gazing at the most wonderful females around me I began to remember the good old days of just swinging from trees. However my favorite pastime is to climb rock walls.

to what? the top of the mountain? why? for what purpose? why do you need to prove yourself to yourself? or is it to nature? trust me, nature is going to kick your ass everytime. i encourage the endeavor, but don’t share it.

I went up in the tree like Zaccheus seeing Jesus from on high, Jesus called me down and told me this kind of climbing was not enough, he told me to climb the ladder of virtue. More difficult than the sycamore tree, more rewarding than the dusty summer sun.

He climbed on top of the hill, the pygmies still gathered below, screaming, and he wondered how a simple trip to Dairy Queen had turned into this. That he hadn’t been too fond of the helicopter ride was true. That still didn’t make this any easier, even if he could say “I told you so” to the helicopter pilot right before they crashed.
Ryan Speck
To summit one establishes a goal and then strives to reach that goal. We measure the success of climber by how high the goals he set were, and how artfully he or she went about reaching those goals, but the climber would tell you it was the journey and not the summit that was the best part.
James Toner
I think of reaching your goals. Of sliding back down but still continuing. Mountains and imaginary obstacles. Trees and you get to the top and feel like you’re invincible. Like you’ve really accomplished something that meant a lot to you. You look out over the world and it seems so perfect.

i was climbing on the new equiptment when i noticed my friend was gasping for air. i climbed down and ran for a teacher. i came upon the nurse and rushed her to my friend she had collapsed and was hardly breathing… all from climbing the bars.

I like the idea of climbing, I wish I was better at it.
It’s a very inspirational word. I really like it. It makes me think of elevating and clouds. It also makes me think of super Mario, I don’t really know why….
There are clouds in Super Mario and in FFVII, but whatever.

Climbing the tallest tower. This surely is life. I am never going to reach the top. There will always be those infront of me and behind me. When the time comes, I will fall back. Everyone wants to be remember and leave some kind of mark. Mine will be positive.
