why do we have to? Is there there something up there that we don’t have here – could we not just sit here and take it all in, or maybe there is the view, from way up there, but then again, we have to climb so high.
Tanner
I never could climb trees as well as my brother could. I was always scared to climb the big tree in Audubon Park.

during high school, I went on the dam field trip, and me and the popular girl in my class went climbing up a hill to pick some wild flowers.
She got stuck in some vines, though, and I didn’t know what to do, because I couldn’t *touch* her.

Climbing the tree seemed easy at first. Baby steps, I told myself. Little did I realize how big this tree was. Each branch seemed to come slowly at first, yet as I traveled farther up the tree they came quicker and closer together. The tree of life I discovered was not so easy to climb.
Connie Rae
To climb a mountain is to reach the top of the world. Open your eyes and look around at all that lies before you, not beneath you. Standing in the sky, you can watch the real world happen, without taking part for those few minutes. One with the earth, its easier to cease thinking for a moment.
Maria

As he clomb, there was a sound above his head. Crash. Dead. Gone like an everloving firefly in the wind.

i like climbing but I am scared of heights. so climbing brings mixed feelings in me. i am supposed to be climbing the corporate ladder but the people below me and above me both seem to be climbing faster. then i realize the ladder I am climbing is circular and that there is no end in sight. the really important climbs in life are probably not so evident nor easy.

One day we were going to climb a mountain. We took all our gear and food but forgot our phone. The wilderness is much better without the outside world. We will always remember our fall mountain trip.

Climbing today isnt quite what our ancestors used to do. Instead, the term’climb’ is to mean to climb your social ladder. To climb your workplaces heirachial ladder. For me, this is a diminishing factor of our social structure, and thus I want to move to africa.

not again.. I just wrote this and submitted it.. Now you expect me to write back the whole thing?
No way… I want a new word not repetition of a word.. Give me something else!!

We all climb to our ambition in our life.. Its up to us what we climb.. We do climb the wrong mountains.. But then only some can embrace the top of the wrong mountain and proceed to the right mountain with a proud heart.

i like to climb trees. i also think of climbing mount everest. the highest i’ve climbed is 101 storeys though i don’t think that was it. i think it was more around 99. or somewhere around there. climbing is a good sports though i think it’s very tedious.

Have you ever heard “the rule of threes for climbing trees”? It’s premise is that you must always have 3 of 4 limbs (cute pun, huh?) touching or supported by the surface of the tree.
i think that funny saying kept me from breaking my neck many times. As a child, it was part of the “kids bible” and i taught it to my own son as well.
Happy climbing.

The dog climbed the apple tree and fell with a crash to the hard ground.

Sound is good.
When properly orchestrated, it can incur deep emotions, elusive to conventional means of access.

Some people seem to think the idea of life is to climb as fast and as far to … (where?) and i am not against that, but only those who use the backs of those under them to achieve their destination.
i suspect i have been a step on the ladder of others and only hope i have stepped on no one myself.

I ate too much ice cream and it made me feel like climbing towards the ocean’s waves of salt and seaweed… I felt warm, yet cold on the inside from the numbing sensation brought on by the ice cream and cold water below.

My arms ached, but still I climbed. The sweat poured from my brow, into my eyes, down my neck, soaking my shirt, but still I climbed. The branchs scraped at my hands, my arms..I was bleeding in too many places to count, but still, I moved up. Steadily, never ending, up, and up. Into the clouds and beyond. I had to reach my destination…

Life is like a ladder. We climb our way to the top. We work hard to get promotions, education, etc, but at the top, it’s very lonely. Once you reach the top, however, your life is finished. So what do you do? You fall off and die. That’s life. An uphill climb and a quick fall.
Jack
Climing trees is what I done a lot when I was younger, those sunny days with my mates just haing out in the palms in th church were the best days of my life. Everybody says that. Now-a-days I feel I’m always climing…struggling.

Everything about life seems to be an uphill climb. They say “it gets better at one time” but does it? All of life it’s working and making money and living. In childhood, we start by climbing the school social ladder. Then in college we climb the academic ladder. Then real world ladders and finally retirement life ladders…

It is simply understandable to believe that “to climb” is to move up a physical realm to another sphere. An example being to move from 2 feet to 3 feet. However, this more aptly describes what one does in trials, they climb to a higher spiritual or emotional sphere. They gain something. That’s what they do, they climb up and gain muscle or understanding.

I’ve always been afraid of climbing. I’m not sure why, but I would climb something and be afraid to fall. Maybe it’s an unreasonable fear.

The hilltop far above
Is topped in grass
Softly moving
In the wind
Dark clouds drift
My hair dances with it
Eyes alert
My heart races
To an unheard tempo

I have been climbing all my life: walls, boulders, trees, mountains. There is something inherently simple and pleasurable about ascending something for the sheer hell of it.

climb on a mountain as high as you can. climb on a camels back, and ride the world. climb everywhere your spirit brings you to. Climb the most dificult mountains, just to get there and see how the landscape looks.
