In a field just south of dearborn a young woman sits alone atop a hill. Its a beautiful day but a look of depression is seen. A tear forms in her eye and falls down her cheek. She wipes it away in an a way like she is trying to hide it. she stars toward the ground and sees a clover planted all alone in an array of grass. She picks it from the ground, looks toward the sky and she falls in her mind to an old memory from her childhood.

Laying in a bed of clover. My arms over my head. Sun up above me. Clouds streaming overhead. Warmth on my cheeks. Breeze ruffling my eyelashes. Dew on my hands. Toes in the grass. Scent of flowers all around me. You right beside me.
it is a very nice day. clover leaves are falling everywhere. it is just wonderful. this reminds me of a moonlight walk with my prince, talking about faith, luck and destiny. it was as if time has run out completely. it has stoped. clover leaves are falling everywhere

4 leaf clovers
do they even exist?
i have spent decades searching the grounds around my hometown, travelling far and wide in search of a four leaf clover. i have spent countless dollars and countless time into the search of these wonderous clovers, yet, sadly, to no avail.
maybe, we don’t need a four leaf clover to have good luck. maybe we’re supposed to make our own luck, instead of spending half our lives searching for an elusive green piece of grass
marianne
there was a over field, there were flowers all around the cloer feild. i have a lucky clover. clovers are green clovers remind me of lepercauns . clover is also used as a spice. clovers have 4 leafs
cari
the clover slowly blew in the field with many others like it. It felt unimportant, insignificant. Compared to all its brothers and sisters it was just one. not even special in one way at all.
Savannah Lawton
I spent so many years vainly searching for a four leaf clover that when it appeared beside me I couldn’t see it for what it was. I tugged at the stems of so many fabrications, so many disguises, that I forgot what the real thing was. It came to me in a time of no light, and that precious clover had no idea. It radiated nearby, and that was good enough to make me smile during some of my darkest times. Our friendship gave me hope that there was a place for me in the midst of empty people I had to sift through. And now, the hope I thought I had lost of even more than simple friendship fulfills me and drags me farther ahead than I intended to go. I thought I was lost, but I found you.
Luck is artificial. some kind of sad imitation of fate. like a knock off purse or a crappy perfume.

Clovers are little green plants that grow in the ground, and usually have three leaves. Every once in a while there will be a four-leafed-clover and it is supposedly very lucky. Clovers have little flowers that are white and pinkish. Clovers are associated with luck, irish, leprechuans, and other things in that category. Clovers are small, only a few inches tall, and have rounded leaves. Clover is the name of a cartoon character, but the cartoon is a mystery to me at the moment.

Four leaf clovers are meant to be good luck, i think it is more a sign of confidence. With a four leaf clover you have the world at your hands, the impossible seems possible, and you are awesome. Four leaf clovers are rare, which makes them all the more special and fragile.
taylor
The leaves of the clover determine the outcome of the day for some. Why should be let 3 or 4 leaves determine this? It is our own mind that determines this. You will have an amazing day filled with “luck”.
emily
something that, when it has four leaves, is lucky and wonderful to find. many people spend hours searching through green fields in search of a four leaf clover. they’re mostly 3-leafed, which are definitely not as cute or fun.
4 leaves on and it will bring you good luck, even better if it’s green. in meadows and patches of grass sitting there with all like it. just waiting. They sit with their identical friends and wait as the wind blows by, waiting to be plucked for good luck, or determining if a girl is liked by somebody by plucking it’s small leaves and dropping them into the dust.

He loved her so tenderly, and placed his hands over her eyes.
“I want to show you this…” She giggled and shivered as the wind passed over her body, lifting her blue skirt up a bit higher, “One, two, three!” He lifted his hands. She opened her light brown eyes to a field of clovers.

gren beautiful minty fresh… screaming to get out.. Just want to crawl in a hole and curl up… I just want to go into a field of green and see the earth thee way it was meant to be.. I just want to go a little bit farther in life I mean, just want to see more, do more, be myself.. I don’t care anymore,, ABOUT THE PRESENT

Sam sighed as he tossed his lunch bag onto the wooden table. He grabbed a cloth, and wiped the soot from his face. His mother entered the room, and sighed. “Did you have to use a clean cloth, Sam?” “Sorry.” He gave her a small smile, tossing it beside his bag.
The door burst open suddenly, a girl standing there, panting. Sam blinked.
“C…Clover?”
“SAM! Thank goodness you’re alright! I heard the alarms for a cave in at the mine, I was worried sick!”
“I’m fine.” He smiled a little. She nodded, going over to give him a hug. “Clover, your dress…your father will be furious. I’m covered in soot. He’ll know we were together.”
“I don’t care. You’re my friend, and I was worried.” She muttered. He looked down at her, and smiled softly. It figured the girl he had been in love with for years was from one of the wealthiest families in the town, while his family lived in the slums, barely managing to scrape by on the wages he made at the mine. “Oh…Sam, I met someone today. I think he might need some help.” She pulled him outside quickly. “Sam…this is Gabriel. Gabriel, this is my friend, Sam. He’ll be able to help.” Gabe looked up, and gave Sam a bright smile. Sam held out a hand, shaking Gabriel’s firmly. Neither boy knew this would be the beginning of a very, very long journey.
This makes me think of stupid cliche things like Bruno Mars and Lucky Charms.
Like your luck’s low down and you hit up so hard
Now ya on yo’ knees searching the leaves
Shootin’ the breeze and ya spot the bees
Now ya can tell this one’s name is Clover

Four leaves? Bah. They don’t exist. It’s some ruse to force the rest of us to weed your fucking yards, and I’m onto you!
Ok, so maybe I’m overreacting. BUT I DON’T THINK SO.

There was a clover in the field. It didn’t have four leafs, only three. It was ordinary, just like life. But, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be appreciated.

He walked through the many patches of clovers, looking for one that stood out. He was a collector of four-leaf clovers, and he wasn’t ashamed of it. When he found one, he smiled, picked it, and found a place in his wallet to store it until he could properly press it inside one of the large tomes he had at home.

I remember when I was a kid I used to pick the clovers out the front yard with a friend. We would play first to find the four leaf clover, I would always win because I always picked ones with extra petals or whatever and pick them off until I had four. I make my own luck suckkaaas.
The clover sat in a field among various other types of vegetation but this one was special, it was a lucky clover. According to my uncle Patrick, who I swear to be a leprachaun, if you find a four leaf clover you’ll have good luck forever. Naturally I strolled on over to that tiny clover and plucked it from the earth. I was hoping it would bring me all sorts of good luck in the days to come, but I had no such luck! I was fuming, I was fed up with that silly super stition so I threw that measly clover onto the pavement. Won’t you know it my luck had done a complete 360 I went from nothing especially good happening to me to aquiring just, plain bad luck. I went to lunch and when I went to pay I find out I had lost my wallet due to a whole in my purse, my car broke down on the way to an important business meeting-which I later find out, cost me my promotion, and to top it all off…when I went to dye my hair it ended up being a retched color of orange, not mahogany! I then realized that when my uncle had said they were good luck he had meant it will prevent bad luck, thanks a lot Pat!

she picks at four leaf clovers, hoping everyday that this one is actually going to be the one that brings her luck. not for a man, not for fame, just for something… something that’s going to make her believe that she’s not useless. maybe a child? she always wanted to raise someone of her own.. she found the clover for today, closed her eyes, and made a wish.. a wish that something, for once, would happen…

What is a clover? I thought it said clever, and thought, well I am clever! Until I realized that I had read the word wrong. Which now, doesn’t make me feel very clever at all. Isn’t it strange that we live in a word of so many words that we don’t even know exist?

when i think of a clover i think of luck and irish people, and that you should keep a four leaf if you find one.

She waited not on a bed of roses, but of clover. The velvety leaves brushed her cheek. They wilted and turned brown as she longed for him to come.
there was a three leaf clover sitting in the middle of my yard. i picked it up and thought it may be lucky. but soon remembered that only 4 leaf clovers are good luck. i still wished upon this three leaf clover and wished that for once something better came about my life. my best friend asked me out the next day

It’s irish, it symbolizes luck. For me it’s luck & pure love in life. Clover makes me happy, the word looks positive. A leaf of life.

I have never seen a four leaf clover. All I can do is hope that someday I might find one. Then I can make a wish on that clover, and maybe even find another one some day.

I remember searching and searching for that elusive, magical four-leafed clover. I never did find one in my childhood quest, and I sometimes feel as if I never will find the metaphorical one now in my adulthood. Where is it?
My friend and I walked leisurely across the field, talking about this and that – not really paying attention to where we were walking. Naturally, I step in something questionable. Turns out it was a soggy Lucky Charms box – all wrinkled and bleached of colour. The trademark four leaf clover was the only discernible thing on it.
LUCKY CHARMS! Hearts, stars, and horseshoes, clovers and blue moons, pot of gold and rainbows, and the red balloons! That was the first thing that popped in to my head. A lucky clover. Fun stuff. Although I frequently have awful luck…I could use some lucky charms right about now. Haha. I love this website…oh, and Professor Clover is a character from a book I read, so there’s that too.
Looking for 4-leaf clovers during ultimate frisbee practice is not a good idea. “Amber, what are you doing!” Lyuda yells at me as a frisbee smacks me in the forehead. “I found a 4-leaf clover! Look! Look!” The whole team jogs over like children to see the clover. That’s what I wish would have happened, anyway.
