  2. its a dark damp area. it’s dirty i have a tool in hand and i am picking at the walls of the cave to get it free. i have a black lung because of the chemicals in the air from the coal. i don’t like what i do but it’s the only job i can do. i don’t have a choice. the world needs the coal i get.

Coal is an element that was made by the compression of plants and animals from millions of years ago and buried under the ground so we can dig it up and burn it to heat water to produce steam and then to power our world. Ironically you could think of it as if we are powering our world with dinosaurs.

  12. I ahve no idea what to write about the word coal. Perhaps that it rhymes with Cold, Bold, Fold, Sold and Old, even though it does not end with a “D”. Does that seem odd? Or am i just crazy? I do believe this might be referred to as a “slide rhyme”… Oh no my status bar is turning red making me feverishly type more bullshit in this little box

  13. Every time I wake up there’s coal on my hands. I can never get it cleaned. It’s the classic image. I don’t know what I’ve done.

    there’s always dirt everywhere no matter how hard you try to clean it. and when i see your empty gaze, your coal-black eyes, it feels so awkward. it hurts so bad. this is so messed up.

  26. Coal is hot, black, and is used on the grill to cook stuff. I read once about this person who suicided by swallowing hot coal and jesus that must be really painful. There’s this theory though that she instead died from the fumes of the coal but eh, who knows. Honestly I think that’s way more likely, who in their right mind would be able to stand that pain?

  28. there is coal in caves. miners go and spend their lives in the dark trying to mine it. there are canaries involved also, i just dont know what they do. coal is black and hard, and if it is compressed long and hard enough, it becomes a diamond. maybe thats why people like to mine it so much. or maybe im just missing the point.

  40. coal is black and sort of dusty. it seems to spread itself to everything it comes in contact with…leaving a trail of sorts. In a way coal’s history can be traced by observing the objects around it and studying which have been marked where…and when.
