I have to scope out the coats hanging there and see if I can find one that looks like it will fit me. Then I have to get it nonchallantly, put it on and rock it. It is important to do this last part with great confidence. Otherwise folks start to wonder what you are doing. If the stare, and the actual owner of the coat looks over, then you have to be quite quick of thought and toungue. Sorry, it looks just like my coat. Where is my coat? then you once again look put out as someone has stolen your coat! It is much more difficult to steal one then. I usually go with the, oh wait, that’s right, I loaned that coat to my aunt-daughter- whatever. So sorry. I must have forgotten.
I hate the cold that follows, so I usually just go on pretending I left my other coat in the car. Brrrr.
