Compassion means caring for others in a way that makes them feel like they aren’t alone. Compassion is something that connects humans to other humans and helps them through their suffering. Compassion is having feelings of love or longing for something or someone.
Gabi
With a rusty coin can in her shivering hands, she settled by the road, in her worn-out coat patched with several different cloth. The passers-by viewed her with scorn contempt and swaggered past her. No one seemed to care if she had been suffering from hunger for days, or if she was sick. Uncontrollably, i approached her and drop a $50 bill.

seriously lacking.vth world needs so much more of it. so much more. some people worry about the amount of oil or carbon.. i worry about compassion. the funny thing is, and it’s not funny at all, that when it comes down to it– when all the oil and carbon are gone and everyone is freaking out– i believe compassion will be abundant.
Compassion is something we rarely see in the world these days. There’s so much going on around us that we ignore, and that maybe with a little compassion it would change the whole course of things in the future.
Carla Prida
I have compassion towards my mom. She is the foundation of my world. She cares for me, does everything for me, and has been through so much. I love her. I want her to know that I love her and that she makes me happy. Happier than Harry Potter.

Means little or less yet for the person wielding it. Harshness blinds the simmering wanderer. We aren’t all capable of putting on the other shoe.

Compassion cannot be spelled without compass. Is there anything spectacular about that observation? No, not unless you give it meaning.
To be compassionate is to be emotionally selfless. To see another’s pain and actively rise to the occasion to remedy it. To feel what they feel on their level. And to cry when they cry because you just can’t help it.
La Petite Gigi
Nobody gives a fuck about me
I have all the love in the world to give
I love art
I love music
I love people
I love everyone
why doesn’t everyone feel the same?
not enough compassion in the world.
andrea
I adore this word. I like to think it describes me. Compassionate, loving, caring. I would like to incorporate compassion into my career someday. It’s the main thing we’ve got going for us humans. Love. Hugging each other. Empathy. I wish we all had more of that. Makes me sad that our world is so lonely.

compassion is caring for another. i wish to define before i proceed because i think love is at the heart of all things, all life, and compassion is one more way to manifest love, but it implies an intimacy, but one that doesn’t have to be familiar. i may be homeless, but i can have compassion on those i do not know. can you have compassion on the earth or just on humans? yes. the earth is the source, a brother creation of a creative principle. a creative principle which springs of love, and compassion is the interconnected quality of that principle. a characteristic of love. becoming connected to another by caring.
Kate Butler
Compassion is one of my favorite words. It’s also one of my favorite traits in others.
Everyone needs compassion, the kindness of a savior. But darling you have none for me and you’re the one who ripped my heart out. How harsh and cruel of you fool? Because karma’s a bitch and you will have one hell of a game to play with her.
shannon barrett
Compassion is a beautiful thing.
I feel compassion towards the ones that I love.
Compassion and love go hand in hand.
Compassion towards the one that I miss, the one that I love so deeply.
Joey
It is a word many people don’t understand and more need to use in their world everyday. It makes me sad when people hurt others and don’t seek compassion in their everyday behavior. I strive to be a compassionate person.
D'Arci
it’s that thing I want to feel for others, and knowing that I when I have it and practice it that it makes the world a better place, but sometimes it’s not there. It’s not there for people who create more problems than they solve and its not there for people with no self control. if lightning hit you it would not be your fault unless you were holding a lightning rod.
I’m pretty compassionate, kinda, not really though because most people just kind of suck and I’m an insensitive douche bag, oh well. This might be true.
I don’t think I have a lot of compassion, which is sad because a lot of people see it as a desirable trait. I can’t help but not feel sorry for people who get themselves into situations and then expect help and people to feel sorry for them. It might make me a cold, mean person but I can’t help it. I don’t feel sorry for people who fucked up on their own.
He stared into her eyes, she stared blankly into the ceiling above. holding her there, it felt like it did back in the old days, but things were different now. It was cold, it was rainy, and her eyes would never move again. Not after tonight.
Rob
I have read a terrifying article about a girl who was tortured for 44 days. Despite the horror that I felt (and still feeling), there’s a deep sense of compassion inside my heart. I really pity her.
great. this is a lame word, usually its deep, i guess i just don’t feel deep, or maybe its because someone could be watching me typing this i don’t want to be deep. yup thats it. compassion is being able to talk about compassion seriously and deeply with care of surroundings, and who will judge, you will just be compassionate.

Not my strongest asset. I am an only child. I lack patience. Compassion is a great virtue. I expect it from others but forget to give it sometimes. How can one forget something so simple?
It lifts one to heights unbound, inspired by naught but the care for another thing. It expands a person, inflates them like a helium balloon to soar upwards, towards a neverending sky. For feeling is giving, and giving is getting.
Compassion is not only for other people but for things. A factory in abandon, a blue sky dancing, a forest polluted. We must feel for the beauty around us as well as the people.
The only thing we both could think of then, was our own true compassion for one another. This was it, our last few moments, it was all we had left in the world and we were blessed enough to share them with each other. In our last show of compassion, we used our last moments for one final kiss to say it all.

It was hard to let her go after all this time. They loved each other, yes, but that alone would not suffice. His life was hidden in the shadow, hers in the light, and he couldn’t risk her being caught in the heat of a battle or threatened because of him. So he left, took to the rooftops, and bathed in the moonlight, sunken in silence, he threw to the wind what little they had.

Compassion is one of the most true and alive feelings we as humans can possess. It can arouse much joy in us but also sorrow. When I see this word, I think of Jesus as a result of all those years and years of bible school lessons drilled into me, i will never forget them.

I love to read. When I was a kid I couldn’t watch TV so I had to read all the time. My best friend Emily lived up the road from me, and she was allowed to watch almost whatever she wanted. I was afraid that if I turned the the TV on my mother would scream at me, so I never did.

Compassion. With passion. I think of religious themes. Still influenced by that violet color the words are printed in. Does it ever change? I would write something different if the words were bright green, or orange, or black.
she felt compassionately about her father. he was ill and poor and although she no longer loved him, she still felt compassion.
a virtue in its own right, this feeling towards her father however was her vice. he would do this often, and she would forgive him because of her deadly will to be compassionate.
Lydia
My mother doens’t do compassion. If you have a headache, the first thing she says is, “Take some advil.” There are no hugs, kisses, or “Aww my poor baby!” I wish she had some.
Jennifer Connelly
kind people loving me, me loving othere people jesus crist and his all encompassing mercy. Unforgattable kindness that I cannot ever possibly hope to make up. Love for someone other than yourself.

compassion it lives in all of us and donest ever seem to end. we all carry it with us and we cant rid of it. it thrives through us and makes us what we are and it doesnt end. we are compassion and doesnt end. never. compassion we love it.
Sex love hate turning against a feeling so strongbyou can barely handle it let alone understand it people havebso much compassion build up in them it’s ridiculous everyone has feeling so there is compassion in everyone in everything you put effort into the movements you make everyday it could be something like you expressing your love for your wife or the hate you feel for your enemies or the sexual tension between you and your neighbor who knows it can creep up on you anywhere at any time.
Mckenzie griffin
Compassion is about so many things. It involves love, empathy, and genuine caring. It’s far deeper than anything I knwo. It is what Jesus showed and exhibited in his life. I want to have compassion for the multitudes.
Ashley
Most people are campassionate for some things but some people are not like me for example. I don’t have any specific compassion.
I seem to have a lack of compassion for many people
Is it because of my life experience?
Is it because I have a certain disdain for the sheeple of the world?
I find it easier to worry about the little dog that finds itself running frantically through traffic on a dark, rainy evening than I might for a person in the same situation
Sometimes, I would like nothing more than to just run them down and be done with their nonsense
