This is not something new,
The twig twisting wildly from the steady branch above is merely a continuations for what should be
And the branch bending down toward me,
Merely a continuation of the tree
Yet I ponder, perhaps pointlessly, about just what this has to do with me.
And we continue with these restless nights, though now they’re restless by our wit and will. We’ll lie awake. We’ll lie awake until slumber shuts us out and we’ll rouse wildly, wondering whether our wiles will find us wrapped up in each other again at sun fall.
I tap my feet to the music playing in my headphones, the beat loud on the otherwise silent bus. I look out the window, watching the trees pass by. I’d been on the bus for three hours now, and was growing tired. I soon fall asleep, only to be jolted awake a little while later by the bus stopping.
