  1. Sally-Mae greedily gulped lungfuls of the perfumed air. She lowered her heavily make-uped eyes, her mascarraed eyelashes fluttered in the breeze. The convertible was speeding down the open highway at a stunning pace. Sally-Mae would never have to give in to him again.

  11. the gto was not what I expected it to be. Beat to hell and loud, billowing smoke from the undernieth seemingly in protest to havine been started after months sitting in the back yard of the old preacher. It’s convertible top in tatters and looking like I would have to spend more than twice the asking price I looked at the old man, felt sorry for him, and plunked down my cash. As I drove of I could feel the power this old beater still had and gave it a little more ga. My friend, Jim, sitting beside me lauching in histerics wondered how in the world I could spend good money on such an old, tattered rust bucket. I put in the clutch looking over at Jim, slamed on the gas and banged second. The car responded like a mennace from hell lurching sideways and sprung forward like a wild animal. Smiling at Jim I said, Nice ride, huh?

  14. I’m going to write about nothing and everything because your silly word prompt has been broken and stuck on convertible for the longest time. Why have a convertible? T-Tops are much better. They remind me of those first nights and how even I caved in to the cliche of oh wow I have an older boyfriend who owns a Camaro. It always seemed too Americana to be proud of that and then suddenly I understood.

  16. A red convertible pulled up the the curb where I currently was and demanded for me to get in. I looked at it confused for a few seconds because I couldn’t see who was driving because it was dark out and the top was up. But when it demanded for the second time I recognized the voice and I meekly got in. I was at first scared to see the look on his face so I avoided eye contact.

  17. its probably the best car ever. wind in your hair, sun everywhere. thank god for sunglasses. sometimes, chicks dig convertibles, but they’re not that great for balding, middle-aged men. some people see them as staus symbols, others as mid-life crisis mobiles. they probably work best in california because its not too terribly hot. highway one is awesome.

  34. One day I saw this convertible car with a bunch of crazy hobos in it drinking vodka with a pirate duck and then the hobos met up with some insane clowns (I think it was this clown posse or gang or something) and it went DOWN, man, and there was this wicked gun battle out there on the street right in front of everyone, even the police.

  35. there is a bright red car sitting out side my house. I have no idea what is in store for me. I run out the door, new keys in hand, grinning from ear to ear. I hop in the car and to my delight it is a convertible, a bright, shiny new convertible, all mine.

  36. The convertible was red and shiny and she knew she shouldn’t have gotten into it. This boy was slimy, a shyster, despite his winning smile, pompadour and hansome face. It was true that anyone with a cheeseburger and a milkshake could have her, but she certainly wasn’t proud of it. Maybe she should be more like her friend Lainey, who didn’t eat at all. Then she wouldn’t find herself in this kind of mess. The convertable passed lots of sand and brush and occasionally cactus that looked straight out of a painting. She didn’t know where they were headed and, not for the first time, was increasingly afraid for her life. She should’ve brought a cellphone, a girlfriend, a can of mace. She’s shouldn’t feel so excited, one sick puppy, clearly the result of a troubled childhood!

  39. The little red convertible Mustang was a car envied by all who saw it. Collectors squabbled over the car’s worth but that was just in dollars. It was impossible to assess the car’s worth in emotional terms.

  40. He had a convertible but it wasn’t a nice one. It wasn’t shiny, it was ragged but he loved driving that thing, he loved the attention he got because of it, even it was the wrong kind of attention. But the ones who saw through it, who thought he must be an interesting kind of guy for driving a convertible like that, they were the ones he ended up befriending and they were the ones he would end up loving.
