  1. Last night was so much fun! We stood on the corner on Bainbridge St. while we waited for the first act to finish up. Once the Shubin theatre cleared out, we all got to go in and take a seat! With only 43 seats, the room was crowded. Angry People Building Things.

  8. Corners make me feel so clumsy. Ineligant. When I fold clothes, i can never get perfect corners. Why is that? Have I done something wrong? My sister can make perfect corners. But she worked at a Gap for a year, folding clothes. Everyday. I wish I was a corner. Or at a corner, of the world. Corners are so perfect, but i’m not. Words are corners. Sharp and concise, and neat.
    I’m not jealous. I don’t like Gap.

  9. there’s a corner on the street where a man once sold apples to beggars for less than a nickle. his name was chuck, and he believed that everyone should wear two left shoes, because things were never right. whenever he saw an old woman cross the street, he’d wait for her on the other end and talk to her.

The ex-junkie rocker was being tormented by in inaminate object, and it was annoying the shit out of him.

It wasn’t his fault that he couldn’t come up with a tune that could ever amount to a song.

  30. Eyes wide, breath harsh and panting and metallic, blood trick-trick-trickling like a tear down her cheek. Metal like gunpowder in her hands. The wall, mocking, as it presses into her spine. His breath is a kiss against her neck. She screams. Fumbles the knife. Sends it flickering through the air but he’s blocking, he’s dancing her sideways and diagonal but she’s a goner, gone, going, gone.

If she had any time for retrospect, she would have cursed that corner, but she’s fallingfallingfalling into the black. And then he laughs. And then she’s gone.
