God is definitely changed my culture of people places and things it has been so resistant and absolutely hard. I believe it relates to the abuse and trauma that I’ve endured, but it is time culture relates to overall not just people places and things but how you view people, places and things and I believe the Holy Spirit is taking me out of what I am used to into something new

Culture is the inside jokes of thousands of generations until nobody remembers what started it and nobody remembers to explain it to outsiders. It is the way you point, whether with your fingers or your lips, the way you wait in line for the bathroom, the way you spend money and the way you save it, the time you show up to the party and the time they invite you.
The culture in Laos was different from the US. In Laos, the children respected their parents and listened to their advice, even to the extent of agreeing to marry someone that they didn’t particularly like. And on that day, she dressed in traditional dress and sat on the floor with her elders, across the sea of gifts brought by her husband’s family. Then he entered and she caught her breath.
