  1. I like to dance. I used to go to dances in middle school. They were like parties, and I could hang out with the popular kids and I felt cool. and it was fun to get that “action” with girls. It was more than I was even close to getting at that time. It was fun. I could be a giant tool and not have to worry about it, cuz everyone was a giant tool.

  2. We both love to dance. Across opposite sides of the world we’ve plied our trade. We’ve pulsated to the universal beat. Alone yet strangely together. Together we’ve tripped around the dance floors of the world. Your world. My world. Now finally in the same city we start to dance to different beats and I wonder if we can keep in tune with each other.

  3. Don’t hide.
    Don’t run from yourself.
Don’t pretend to be something you aren’t.
Don’t believe the lies you tell yourself.
Don’t think you aren’t worth it.

    Look in the mirror.
    See who you are.
    Be strong.
    Dance.

  4. Dancing has always been a thing that I’ve never been really good at. Maybe I haven’t found the person who is meant to be my partner yet. Someone I’m comfortable with enough to lose all inhibitions that has been locking up all the bones, muscles and joints needed in dancing. But the search isn’t over yet. The right partner is out there and he’ll come to me when the music is right.

moving away from thoughts of your eyes
    face
    everything about you
packed between my feet and the pavement
    only to be revealed
    when my dance is over
    and im walking again
    walking away
only pretending you werent crowding my mind
the way i pretended to dance
    in the snow
