I used to dance when I was little.
I never liked it, though…
I mean…
I liked it and everything.
I thought it was fun.
I liked watching myself dance in the mirror!
but I think I stopped liking it once I started gaining weight when I was 11.
I didn’t like watching myself in the mirror anymore…
everyone was so graceful and slender!
and there I was.
yeah, I didn’t like dancing too much after that.

Twisting and turning, the light flew over her head and her skirt flowed out around her. That skirt – her mother’s skirt – the perfect circle, gauzy and gorgeous in that purple color that only girls of the age of 8 and 3/4 can really appreciate. A princess, a sorceress, a goddess – her name was Rosabella, Myriana, Fantine.

Dance, I want to dance in front of you. I want to laugh in front of you. Dance to my favourite music. Dance to the music i pick out and you’ll love it.

I don’t feel comfortable dancing. Once, when I was 18, I started to get more self-assured about it, but then someone told me about The Dancing Fool, and that shut me down pretty much permanently. He was trying to be nice. He devastated me.

dance when you feel as if you must move your body to try and shake off the webs trying hold you down. Dance when you feel as though youre heart is coming apart and you just wan to lose yourself in the music. For chirsts sake just dance like you will never have you’re heart broken again.
Joe
dancing is very fun. it is the motion of the body in tempo and rhythm with musical accompaniment. It is also a good way to meet girls. Many people believe that dance is not an athletic sport, but I disagree, it is very difficult.

I’ve been dancing since I was five. I absolutely love to dance. I still try to go to the gym, with its long mirrors, at least three times a week to dance. It’s so fun. A stress reliever. Really.
I just wish I could do it more justic. With time, I will. It’s an expression of my soul.

the beat pulses, the song loudens. everything becomes more real, fascinating. letting loose, and just letting go. the bets feeling in the world. expressing yourself through the music, how much better could it get?

When I think of dance, I think of all styles. You have hip-hop, reggae, tap, clogging, ballroom, etc. Dancing is an art of it’s own and some people are born with gift. I’m not really a dancer myself but I’m willing to learn. But for now, i’ll just watch it on television. =]

When I was a little girl I took dance classes. I remember very little about them – I suppose I liked them, I did so much at the suggestion of friends or parents it has become difficult to remember what I liked and what was mere obligation. But I did like the dresses. I remember one – one little ballet outfit.

Dance in the darkened hour that follows with dreadful calm. Your heart does not exist here. Your feelings have no outlet. Where can they go?

I like to dance, but I don’t do it very often. This of course depends on what dancing you are speaking of. I like to dance to music often, I am dancing right now, to the people around me, trapped in a role.

“Oh, I-I don’t know how to dance,” Clarice said shyly, starring at her bright blue shoes. “Perhaps you should ask someone else.”

To dance. To feel a soul’s connection with another, and to express this through your body. The universal language.

Flirting with him is like dancing with fire. Don’t know were to go and what to think of it. Just hoping that i won’t get burned…

My feet swirl beneath me, twisting and flipping against the slick wood paneled floor. My hands spin out straight, my fingers curl elegantly. I dance, to feel my soul. This is my soul. It’s finally free.

I like to dance. Dancing is one of my favourite things ever. I like to do the robot when I go out. Everyone looks at me as I slide across the floor. i’m so cool with my black sunglasses and shiny jumpsuit. They all want to be me, but they cannot be me. I am the robot.

“you know we don’t have to, yeah? it debases us – makes people think we’re not the same as ‘the fine upstanding people of the world’.” That’s what she told me anyhow.

Dancing is what makes people feel happy, it elevates spirits and it helps to create more of a social environment wherever it is practiced. Dancing is also a great way to stay in shape and remain healthy.
Marcel Chaves
dance is just like flying on earth :) you can express your feelings…

i’m dancing! I’m dancing! Like snowflakes, wild but softly, swept up and around, getting dizzy. Gently I fall to the ground and the dance is over.
Lindsey
I want to sometimes. I feel it course through my bones. Like I’m supposed to have the same limbs as the others who can but it is a phantom feeling. Like a handicap, I stream myself around the space, letting my bouncing balls of unconscious cerebral movement place me.

I love to dance, never really get to though. I took dance classes as a child, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, as I got older I stopped. Took up belly dancing a few years ago though, but just for two years. Wish I still could go to that class, doesn’t help I’m on the other side of the world right now.

Just dance…that’s what my instructor always tells me. Just keep on dancing, keep time and if you stuff up, just keep going. Why stop. Well why stop really, you can’t stop when competing, or performing, so why should you stop in practice. The way you dance in practice is the way you dance on the floor, when it really counts right?
Rachel
I danced in the moonlight, dancing away under the stars by the lake. I dance for joy, I dance for fun, you DANCE a dance class. Dancing could be perceived as something done only by extroverts but I disagree, it can be a great release and a way of expressing yourself creatively, requiring only a vague sense of rhythm and a passion for music to be enjoyable to both do and watch. Sexy sexy dancing.
