i always loved to dance, I havent for a whilke though, does that have any thing to do with how I see life today, gotta get into breakin again. Dance like no one is watching, and love like I haven’t been hurt before…

I don’t dance. I flail. I am not graceful, but I dont much care.
I suppose I dance better than you do when you put on a show for the audience.
Caritas
you invited me to dance. i refused being young and too shy.
for years we’ve danced around that night. the nights preceding it and the nights following it.
finally, four years later i’ve stepped up.
i owe you a dance, a chance, a go around the floor.
take my hand and come with me. step for step we match ourselves.
get lost in the rhythm. look into my eyes and dance. with me.
ryder
i love to dance. i dance in the shower, in the car, at work behind the scenes. actually in real life i hate to dance. i feel awkward and scared that everyone is watching. but in my mind i love to dance!! it is free. not in the real world. in the real world im scared of what people think.
katy
I like to dance. I really really liked to dance. I like to be free. To skip, to laugh, to be me. To twirl, I really like to twirl. I also live to groove and to jive. To sway and to swoon. To be me, and let you be you. No control, just movement. Beautiful, ungraceful movement. That’s me. Completely me. That’s all. Beautiful.
I’m scared to dance. It’s a way of putting yourself out there and you’re losing a sense of… a sense of control. You’re just letting your legs carry you where ever they may. That’s why I can’t do it. I’m to scared to let people see me to just let go.

Is a beautiful combination. Music and movement. In my opinion mainstream dance has diluted the serenity of it, but what can you do. You can hope it becomes better or you can define your own.
Chris
dance. I love to dance. I had dance tonight. Hip hop. A guest teacher. She was good. She wore a cut up shirt, black and white, with a red checkered arm band. I noticed her looking at me one time and I got uncomfortable and messed up.
Lauren
dancing is the sport of the gods. you need to be limber, strong, and creative. not many can perfect all the many different ways your body needs to bend, and flex its way into perfection. dancers express themselves in a way that it beautiful to everone else.
becca
i want to dance with him all the time. dancing is something so beautiful and i wish i could do it. moving my body through space not thinking about anything but my movments. oh it would be so blissful and fabulous.

Dan Dance Dance. Jon bought me this book by Murakami ages ago and I still haven’t read it. I started reading, but lost the plot after the first few chapters and never got back to it. I feel bad because this is the only book anyone’s ever given me without reason – except that he thought I’d like it.

If you take the time to notice
It’s just moving your feet rhythmically
move them in time
and you’ll be just fine

do it like crazy, do it with those you love, dont be one of those who only does it when you drink, do it sexy sometimes with your mate, do it with loud music with your kids and friends, doit when you don’t feel like it and see how it changes your mood, laugh about it and always do it when you are asked by someone and it is appropriate
stacey daniel
I love to dance. When you move your body, its like all of those things that you can’t put into words are expressed and you realize that life isn’t about the SAT or fights with friends. It’s about seeing beauty and being fully human. It’s like you leave behind the geekiness, the envy, the sadness and you become more yourself than ever before. “Dance is your breathing, your heartbeat, your pulse. It’s the rhythm of life.”
Zoey
We tangoed in Tibet, we Doe-si-doed in Dallas, we did the conga in Congo, we did the ballett in Berlin, we did the robot in russia, the bop in Bulgaria, and the meringue in Minneapolis!

Dance is something which I’ve never thought I could do but have the talent for. God, it brings out so many emotions. First of all, the freedom to just move around like nobody’s watching is incredible. Watching Gene Kelly and Bob Fosse do it blows my mind because they don’t care if they miss a step: their precision and grace are so astounding. My personal dancing story comes when I did A CHORUS LINE and I told my director I couldn’t dance. I am not a dancer by any means, but I found a way to move on that stage so gracefully and with such ease that I never felt uncomfortable in my own skin. Maybe my dance moves looked awkward, but I would’ve looked more awkward if I thought of getting the steps right–as Fosse said, “Dance like no one’s watching.”
Jeremy Fassler
I step onto the floor and I’m just about ready to go crazy. I don’t know what to do here. What am I even doing here? She grabs me and I’m stuck in an awkward moment. Who’s gonna tell her that I’m completely lost. My feet get tangled together and I fall. Damn.
LAO
another dance,
another chance.
seeing you in every glance,
always brought me in a trance.

I would love to dance like a beautiful bird. Cranes are the most elegant dancers I’ve ever seen. Dancing is such a beautiful art form- it is so expressive. It doesn’t have to be about sex, it’s about the body moving in marvelous ways and saying something without words.
Sarah
dancing, twirling
the earth spins
her dress, her hair, swirling around her
colors flash
swaying slowly
gliding gently, graceful

to move to express to create in the rawest of ways i know that movement is real it is here it is now and it can never be again the truth lies in the moment
emily
when I dance it’s like all the parts of body are harmonized to create a single piece of movement…each part doing it’s job. I dance not for the crowds pleasure but for my talent to be used somehow to reach the crowds inner thoughts. If I could tell them that my dance symbolized that someone our there love them always…then I’d have I be dancing to “amazing grace.”
daniela
I like to dance but I am not very good at it. I wish there was some place to dance with my husband besides a bar. I would like to dance with my husband more. I guess that is why I like going to wedding dances.
Vicki
I’ve been through some difficult times. With the man in the alley, parents fighting constantly, grades going to hell. And all for what? Nothing. It’s taken a while to get here. Many years of pain and hurt but I’m healing. I’m learning to dance in the rain.

moving swiftly, her rhythmic movements entranced me from across the room where I stood, a beer in hand.

I love to dance . Dancing makes you happy. When other people dance they are so funny. See she is dancing like a purple cow. Wow dancing is great exercise. Keep dancing as long as you can.
Mr Attitude
beauty in the form of a dancer
poised upon toe and twirling ever so slowly
serenity could be nothing more than this;
silence between softly padded feet
pressing into the wooden stage.
she smiled there, and i knew:
dancer, oh sweet dancer,
you will be the one who sweeps me off my feet
and carries me off into the night.
alyssa
He makes me want to dance.
I guess that’s all I feel I need to write.
chelsie b.
I love to dance like there is no one else in the room. Sometimes I’m free enough when we are in a club with few people. I feel free to express what is in my mind.

if you can’t dance, maybe you shouldn’t try.
It’s not just yourself you make a fool of, but also us poor folk around you. Also, your fly is down.

She liked to dance in the moonlight with her hair down, her dress billowing around her ankles. I would take her in my arms and look deep into her eyes and know that if not for the dance we would not be together. She is passionate and nothing makes her moreso than twirling and spinning and gyrating her perfect hips. She loved to dance. But now she;s gone.
