lock the door, lock it tight. Don’t forget to shut off the light. We must not let anyone in tonight! We certainly don’t want to wake up with a fright!

The sun shone brightly, illuminating the world and the souls upon it, a gentle breeze and idyllic scenery meaning this cabin was close to paradise… despite all the horror films and the scaremongers tales of murder and rape, the deadbolt on this beauty had seized open from inactivity, remote and content as it was.
left me out. i came back to get my things, but she had put a deadbolt on the door, to keep me out. i’ll never know what i had done… if it had been loving her too much until she could not take it or not remembering that she didn’t love me. but all i did was love her, and that was a good thing. but this deadbolt, she used it and with it she left me out. that last tuesday – the one where we had a lazy sunday and she called in sick for work and so did i – when i told her loved her – that’s gone now. locked in behind a deadbolt, and i am out.
it’s on a door, you need a key to unlock it. makes me think of the one on the old house’s door with the noise making string thing…and the door to my bedroom at my apartment in the fall cuz it’ll have one on it, which is nerve wrecking cuz i lose keys all the time like last nite when i locked it in the car again

i don’t like deadbolts.. they scare me.. i mean.. am i even supposed to write like this? i don’t know exactly what to say.. a deadbolt is either
a) A door lock
OR
b) a type of nail..
He locked the deadbolt and we both moved flat against the wall, guns held high. I tried desperately to slow my breathing, to be quiet, but every part of me was screaming for safety, for rescue. My heart beat loud in my chest. I wondered fleetingly if he could hear it.
deadbolt, cold metal, splinters reaching out like the fingers of some burnt skeleton, the bolt holds teh door locked but it’s a tentative hold, and the whole thing will be bypassed with but a firm shoulder and a real purpose. The metal is black and my fingers share in the cool smell.
I might be strike by your deadbolt words and looks you got me wondering and your my biggest risk…would it be worth it or not …I wont know until I try…yea that’s my conclusion bring it on…I might be scared as hell but what the crap…I better regret what I did that what I didn’t do. I know people might freak out on me…but whatever is my life…they don’t have to find out…I’m just gonna live , if I mess up then o well…hopefully something will be learned.
Carinna
deadbolts are the things that you put on doors.. i think. i’m not entirely sure.. but either its that or it’s a type of nail. i’ll have to google this.. because now i really wanna know. :P deadbolt.. hmmm… interesting… deadbolt..
taylor
Well, now you’ve done it. You’ve really messed up this time. How could you be such a deadbolt? Seriously? I trusted you, and you had to do the stupidest thing imaginable. I trusted you, and you did this in turn. I trusted you.
Kuro
Deadbolt.
I see it, I see the door, I hear the sound.
I picture a woman behind that door. A man locking it. The bolt clicking into place. The lock. Unopenable. Used for security, to keep people out. So who was the woman in the closet/room he’s locking in?
Maybe it would be better if the lock were on her side… and there was a secret passage to get her out. A passageway in the stone room. And the deadbolted door, once locked, the outside won’t see.
Noisy Quiet
a lock on a door no one can come in alone and crazy sitting on your bed no one knows what your doing no one knows whats going to happen.

The doorknob would not turn all of the way to release the latch. He turned and twisted and even gritted his teeth as he did so. Surely making such a face would finish the job of opening the door, but alas, it was not so. The door now has to be shut and latched with the deadbolt until he can get a new doorknob.
i’ve never really thought about deadbolts before. what do they do? keep people out? keep people in? but what’s the purpose of that. why are we so afraid of others? these locks are so tough, you can tell by the name. dead. bolt. it’s a little scary that we need those in the world today.

Sometimes it feels like I lost the key to the deadbolt of the door to my thoughts. Most of the time I think I may have purposely misplaced it. I just don’t want to think so I run away or help someone else. Will you find my key and unlock my head for me?
You Know Me
The door creaked open, lights dimmed in the living room. A pool of blood scattered the wooden floor, illuminated by moonlight. The lock, once new and free of scratches, lay broken and defiled, rusting.
You are my deadbolt baby, I sing about you in the shower.
Whenever I need some security, you lock me up from hour to hour.
Oh i sing, I need security from something heavy and dead.
Yet I need, more from you baby give me your deadbolt feeling…
So there I was in this room locked by a deadbolt and I couldn’t think of how I was going to get out. I was stuck and no one was coming. It scared me so much and I thought of all the people in my life that would never see me again.
Then I decided, I’m going to fight this.

I heard the song coming from around that campfire that night, and for once in my life I knew I wasn’t alone and that he was with me. This person was Matthew my best friend former boyfriend. He was all that I needed.

Some families feel the need to deadbolt their front door. My family has never done such a thing because we trust people too much. Is a deadbolt too little trust though? Probably. We also have a back door that sort of locks. Anyone could get into our house if they really really wanted to. Maybe that’s dumb, but we’ve never had a break in the entire 24 years we’ve lived here.

LOcked, Unlocked….I wasn’t sure. And I was in no hurray to find out. the noises coming from behind the deadbolted door were horrendous. I imagined the worst, hoped for the best. But In my heart I knew they were gone. destroyed by the monster they had created in the lab.

when the lock was living, the door was never even closed. it had no need to be. and so, we could bolt in an out as we pleased, like children playing an infinite game of hide and seek despite the adult’s warning not to run in the house. but now that we are dead, the doors are closed, locked shut, and only the silent echoes of our laughter slips through the keyhole.

i’m not exactly sure what a deadbolt is. I think it has smething to do with locks, but I can’t say. I’m not an expert on things that specifically are deadblots. But I would like to think they are some kind of robot part, that died.

He wondered if he had locked the deadbolt. The other lock wasn’t that great, and it could easily be broken into. “Should I go back and check,” he thought. “I really don’t have time to turn around. What if someone gets in. Where did the term deadbolt come from, anyway?”

My life is a deadbolt. I can’t budge it. Can’t get past that piece of metal that keeps me here. Where I don’t want to be. Here.

She sends the door flying as she walks into the room. I looked up, stunned by the sudden noise, but not at all surprised by her appearance. She surveys my room, grabs a book from my nightstand, and leaves. I get up and close the door. Then I start scheming.
I hear her footsteps. She is approaching my door, ready to swing it open. I can almost see her, pushing with her arm, and then walking right into the unmoved (and undamaged) door. Wham! Haha! Success!

The bolt flew across the sky. It was dead. A deadbolt. It was once bright, shining, glittering; vital. Now it cracked the stars with it’s in-four-face empitness.

I must have ran at least 5 miles. Being chased really gets your adrenaline going in order for you to finish those 5 miles or more easily. As i was running more were chasing. I found my old childhood home and dead-bolted the door. “That should hold them off for a bit” I thought to myself….But not enough time for me to realize that this was not my childhood home anymore.
it is on a door and is used to lock it. it can be hard to unlock but it keeps burglurs out and keeps everyone safe. I honestly am not sure if i can lock a deadbolt lock but i can try. It seems that everyone wants a deadbolt on their door these days.

Charlie heard noises outside. His mother tried to calm him down but he was frightened from that type of thing so he wriggled out of her arms and hurried to the door. He twisted the deadbolt on the door. His mother chided him for being so paranoid about people breaking into the house. Little did she know that the deadbolt would soon come in handy.
