  1. i think of all the road kill back home and how i havent seen many deer in texas. One time my dad got out in the middle of a traffic jam one winter night. to check out this massive deer that was dying in the middle of the road. It’s antlers had like twelve points. good gash.

  3. small baby deer that run across the street after their mommas. they don’t know the danger they might encounter. they just want food…and comfort. and warmth, in the winter at least. poor babies. they follow not knowing.

  5. Deer. They were just that.
    Merely deer to us. When we put the silver and copper pieces into their skulls, they remained only deer. Pieces of meat. It was better for our sanity to keep it that way. It was better that they were just deer.

  7. I saw a deer just last Saturday, just off a hiking trail in Pomona. We took a detour off the main path to find a private spot and there we saw them – two big, brown, beautiful deer, living their lives in the tiny bit of nature we’d left for them.

  9. deer are awesome. i love seeing them in the wilderness, so tame and calm if you give them the chance. one time i had a deer actually eat out of my hand while camping, no petting zoo bullshit. it was amazing.

  17. i just read about a strange looking type of deer thing called a chamois. my french is quite terrible and hence i’m pronouncing it as a ‘sham-moir’. unsure if that is the correct pronunciation and not giving a damn if it is or isn’t i decide to go back to reading frankenstein where i can indulge in the world of 1800s english literature.

I’m not sure, but I do believe that there are similar creatures elsewhere that may be referred to as such, however, as far as my knowlege goes, it is that single species, with, possibly, sub-species.   23. A deer is an animal. It can live in the UNited STates it is a popular game animal. Because of this, trhe continuation of deer hunting has become necessary to maintain populatioon and ecosystem. regrettable perhaps, but true. I don’t hunt: I can’t imagine enjoying it, not to villainize those that do.

  32. When I was a kid my sister used to love deer, it’s all she went on about. All she read about. Now I’m older and we don’t talk as much, I wonder what she thinks of deer. I see something deer related and I’m tempted to buy it, so I can just say “see, I remember”. But I stop and think about it and realize she probaboly doesn’t care
