  11. They certainly did a lot of deliberating at the Council of Elrond, in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Everyone always derides that chapter, saying he should never have stopped his narrative just as it was getting started. But I rather enjoyed that one. It was a massive amount of exposition, sure. But it was actually done well.

His face looked like horror and disbelief, but I knew the truth. He hit me, and it was deliberate. I knew how he felt about my relationship with Kimmy.     Just like many words in the English language, it’s a bastardization with more than one way of saying it – thus more than one meaning.
