  15. I believe that every action should be deliberate. Choice is what separates us from animals, and people owe it to themselves and others to make sure every choice they make is done with some reflection, with some concern for the ramifications of what they are about to do. When people see their actions as guided my something or someone other than themselves, they can disavow the blame.

He deliberated over the phone buttons.. 8 and 4 and 3… numbers he knows sequentially, automatically, but the stress of a call unanswered on a day like this was aching the back of his arms and giving him a stiff neck. 27. I deliberately made myself late to work today by laying in bed longer than usual. The alarm rang and I awoke, but just barely. I was dreaming of us and imagining the pillow I had pressed against my chest was you. You were nuzzling me and I was eating it up. Part of me knew I was dreaming. But the conscious side of me decided to deliberately fight reality and instead stay in that world. Because I have never held you in my arms like that. You have never nuzzled me. We have never been together that way. And that reality has always killed me.

  29. I would have a hard time spelling that. I would have to break it up every time. Then again, I’ve learned to spell many things over time. Like “truly”. It took me an entire season to rid that word of the ‘e’ that I had become accustomed to. Even now, I spell things that I could not spell before- even my home town.

Maybe I can learn to spell deliberate too.
