What is my destiny? I’d like to find out… Some people obsess over it… going to supposed psychics… it’s quite silly, really. Life isn’t meant to be foreseen.
I don’t know what my destiny is. I guess that’s kind of the point of destiny, isn’t it? And sometimes I get so goddamn frustrated because I have no fucking idea what to do next. I mean, destiny can’t really exist, can it? I dunno if it can. Unless there is some stupid master plan or something out there. But if we’re always changing our mind- and I’m ALWAYS changing my mind, how do we know that that is what we are supposed to do? It can’t ALL be right, can it? I mean, every single choice we make in our stupid, insignificant lives can’t be completely and one hundred percent correct EVERY time. So we change our destiny, don’t we? Unless it was our destiny to change our minds. I mean, stuff, even little stuff we forget about- it’s forever changing our lives, at least a little bit, isn’t it? I mean, if I was walking on the sidewalk, and I stepped in a puddle or something. Say I had on my new shoes. Wouldn’t that kind of suck? Wouldn’t I be more careful next time, to avoid notorious puddles? Wouldn’t I be pissed off the next time I wore an outfit that would go perfectly with that particular pair of shoes, which I can no longer wear, because I have soiled them with dirty water and gasoline rainbows? I dunno. Maybe not. But I just don’t really know how I feel about destiny. I guess all it’s really taught me is to wear rubber boots on rainy days.

My destiny is yet to be determined. I’d like to think it’s one thing, and then something happens to change it entirely and I’m left wondering “What the fuck did I do wrong, and what do I do now?”
Hannah
my daughter! im sure i was meant to have this baby. i have never felt in place before i held this tiny baby. she is and always will be, it! thank you

“I don’t believe in destiny,” she said.
“Really?” he asked, scraping the chalk with the heel of his shoe. “That’s awfully unusual. I’ve never heard a hero say ‘oh, no, this isn’t fate, this is all me, man.'”
She wrinkled her nose and stuck out her tongue at him. “I’m serious. You’re just bitter.”
Destiny is probably fiction. A made up concept that lets us prtend that there is a pattern and purpose to the randomness of life. Or maybe it’s real and defines us.
my destiny. i was destined to meet you. to get to know you. to make you mine.
Olivia
Sigh. Destiny. I truly believe that one chooses his or her own destiny. Life is what you make it. If you want something to happen, plant the seeds to reap the harvest.
I can see why other people might believe in destinies. It’s comforting to think that your life has already been planned out for you, that there’s a perfect job, perfect lover, perfect life waiting for you out there somewhere. I just find it impossible to believe in.
I knew this girl once named Destiny. She was a giant slut who showed me her step mom’s hickey. Her dad was also a hoe who said my mom was hot. Destiny also had this older sister who was like, only 12 and did a bunch of dudes.
Jessica
“Destiny doesn’t exist.” Iconic and ironic. Blissful, isn’t it?
Ian Jade
child when i was younger. They were my favorite girl group- music to listen to. I was so easily influenced, but I loved to sing. Now I get to pursue that.

Jamie had never believed in myths, magic or destiny, that is, until, she met Charlie. Charlie was her best friend, and she never let Jamie feel down or depressed. That’s why they had to be together, it had to be destiny.
Henry
Destiny is not something you go about attaining it is something that comes to you. Do not try to procure destiny but rather let it find you.
adam
You never know exactly where your destiny will lead you.
Or who it will lead you to.
Or to what it will lead you to.
At age five I thought I knew my destiny:
at age twenty-one I am realizing I might have been right.
You and me are said to be
So I guess we have to try
And I’m so willing
And you’re just still
Waiting for me to make a move
But it’s you, the reluctant one
That should make a move for me.
Are we meant to be?
destinies child. haahahaha um i believe everyone has a destiny so their lives are planned out not by god but by the universe. who gets to read this anyway? hmm im really bored um destiny is also a girls name. i know a girl with that name but shes reallllllly weird uh yeah destiny

Destiny…they say we’re made for each other and it drives me insane. Maybe we are, maybe we aren’t…but can’t we figure that out for ourselves?
Can’t we at least try before we swear it off?
Can’t we just try and be something amazing before we put it off as nothing?
I love you.
Understand, please?
Brandi
Well you never know where your destiny will lead you.
Or who it will lead you to.
Or what it will have you doing.
I thought I knew my destiny when I was five.
At twenty-one it looks like I might have been right.

My destiny intertwined with yours

Destiny is everything to some people. Its a desire for something that is not yet reachable in life’s goals. Its that major wanting for something in in the future.
Clara
I work in a call center. I figured that I’d write about it for this, because that’s what was on my mind just now. Do I think it’s my destiny to be a phone-slave, conducting surveys for politicians i’ll never meet? I hope not.

what you have to look forward to maybe its something good maybe not maybe osmething fun maybe not but i think my destiny will be grand perhaps like in sarah marshall it won’t be something that i think is coming but mayb eit will be this is a silly thing to write about because how can you actually know your own destiny? also the song playing right now is totlaly not condusive to thi

Something that we all have but are very afraid of and worry about constantly without even knowing. It consumes us!!!
oh yeah, i definitely don’t believe in destiny. it kinda falls under the category of predestination, which is another thing i dont trust. i think every person has the ability to give themselves their own purpose in life.
Walter
Destiny isn’t a thing; it’s a process with no beginning middle or end. Do nothing other than create each moment without regret.
Stuart
I gripped my sword
This WAS my destiny
The next few moments would affect the rest of my life
I looked up, letting the air rush into my lungs
This was it, This was now

It’s bullshit. Anyone who believes in destiny is just looking for a convenient crutch to protect themselves from bad things that happen in their lives. Very similar to religion, actually. It’s bad.
Adham
Destiny, I don’t think I’m very fond of this word. Really what is there to be said about it? Destiny infers fate, and fate is something for blind fools who are too afraid to make their own choices.
destiny, new beginnings, life about to start. so many different things up ahead and no one knows what… it’s such a mystically beautiful disastrous force, providing it exists… because really, does it?
do we create it or do we suffer it?
KayTheMagnificent
destiny is crazy its not real people think it is but it is not, people do things because they think that it is their destiny like on lost and john locke. destiny is also called fate,
lalalal
destiny is a complex word. you tend ot think… did i cause this? or was it destiny?
because the truth is we don’t really know if destiny is.
or isn’t
we just know its a perception weve created
probably because it helps us blame things on something that we cant control.
I don’t know what does it all mean? Sorry, I forgot about the minute thing………….
Huh?101
I don’t believe in destiny, really. I believe that you choose your future, and it changed every minute. And sometimes, really horrible things happen. But sometimes, things happen, things fall together, and turn out so well, you think it was planned. But no, those things just happen sometimes. The beauty of life.

Destiny is fate. Fate is out of our control. Both are fictional, like love at first sight or princesses that kiss frogs. Who believes? What do we believe? Destiny? Fate? Or an outside force controlling our lives?
Sophie King
It was her destiny. There was no escape from it. The only option was to resign and accept it. There is no way to change what has already been decided. The only thing one can do is deal.
What is my destiny? I’d like to find out… Some people obsess over it… going to supposed psychics… it’s quite silly, really. Life isn’t meant to be foreseen.
