With those four words, the remnants of my heart crumble inside my chest.

  17. The three boys watched the building’s ember flames rise higher than they stood. In the wrecked dining room, where plates were smashed and dust was might, in the dining room where they watched their creation roar. It was fearsome for the three, to be once again standing in the heart of such a terrible thing, yet they watched with the sincerest of smiles on their face. Who’s house was this? They didn’t it know. They’d casually joke between them that the houses picked them, yet that was just a fable from hell. They never took anything, they just wanted to create something others wouldn’t understand.
It was then that the boys realised they had to part with their creation, so they slowly left the house. Once outside, they stood facing the flames. Dust and grime on their faces, sweat stained clothes, they knew they had once again made something great. Walking away they told to the night, “destruction is creation.”

He walked over to reset the chair when a meteorite hit him, exploding him into paste.

  29. the destruction of my heart went a little like this. sad that i have to explain it, really, because you probably plotted it all out. first, you were sweet. you called me beautiful, perfect, amazing; you held my hand, you squeezed it tight. you’d pull me close, twirl me around, and whisper in my ear. you never stopped being the most amazing guy ever. you never did anything wrong. and even though it’s not officially over, each time i see your face, and i’m reminded of how you’re just too good to be true, i also can’t help reminding myself that nothing this good lasts. Sooner or later, we’ll go our separate ways. The slow destruction of my heart won’t ever stop, but maybe, just maybe, you’re worth the pain.

You could see it in the way she stepped, seemingly a little freer, or the way she looked across the room, for once not looking for you. She had changed; every part of her that she disliked had been destroyed, and only those closest would ever have the slightest clue.
