  1. Sure enough when she washed the sheets, he understood the cue as “fresh” wasn’t about the smell of the powdered detergent she used either.

  2. I need to be careful when it comes to detergent. If I get one that has color and perfume, it caused get difficulties in the household. Family members with sensitive skin end up breaking out in a rash that itches and makes them extremely uncomfortable. Thank God for the ones that are dye and scent free.

  3. He always leaves his deoderant out next to the sink. I don’t know why it bothers me so much. I’m messy too, but when I try to maintain cleanliness all hope is lost when I see him become lazy or negative. When he leaves his deoderant, its like hes giving up. If he gives up, I have no one to lean on but if he gave up, I have apathy. I dont know why hes shocked when I question if or not this relationship is actual love.

  6. And so it was, blue cascading down into the darkness below, that the filth and grime that had plagued both dark and light, looked upon its undoing in despair. Clinging to the child’s birthday best just before pictures had been a bold move, to be sure, but now it found such boldness yielded only oblivion. There would not even be a stain to its memory.

  7. Behold, ye dirt! Quake! Quake before your undoing! For it is written, “Fill to line 1”, and so shall it be.

  9. The laundry detergent, ON, was pouring into the washing machine, the viscous blue liquid cleansing clothes as it went. It foamed and frothed, scrubbing the dirt off crisp white pants and pullovers. As the cycle came to an end, the detergent slinked back down the drain in retreat.

  10. Clara came home from her lesson, and opened up her bag. “Some of the students are complaining about the smell!”, she reported, holding up a sweat soaked top. The whole colony was air conditioned, as was most of their clothing, and almost all manual labour was done by robots or exosuits, so practically no-one had any reason to sweat. Even if they did, the fibers used were designed to refresh themselves through electrical stimulation, but it seemed that an hour of vigourous dancing was beyond the capabilities designed into their clothing. Morris had realised the need for detergent some weeks ago, but was fully aware that none had been brought due to restrictions of space. They would have to figure out how to make their own.

  11. I can’t sleep. It’s so hot. My bed sheets are soaked through. I get up and take a basket filled with wet sheets and dirty clothes down to the basement. At least it’s cool down there. The door creaks and the dirt and stone gives off a musty smell. Footsteps from my neighbors on the first floor sound like they’re coming from the coal cellar. I picture zombies and murderers slowly making their way into the barely lit laundry room, but at least it’s cool down here.

  15. I remember all those detergent commercials when I was a kid. It was the early days of TV advertising, and the commercials all had snappy jingles that you couldn’t get out of your head. They used simple messages and usually a cartoonish character. The housewives all had those beatific smiles on their faces, and the husbands were goofballs.

  16. I had to look up what detergent means, sounded so foreign to my ears – as if someone trying to bleach them. Heard too many things, no detergent will help now.

  17. This is every woman’s best friend. Laundry is not complete without you. Big smile!

  20. The thick smell hung in the air as she stepped into the gleaming white room. It smelled like detergent, and she felt her nose wrinkle in disgust. Obsession could only go so far.

  22. I got a bad rash on my arms a couple of days ago. My arms were itching and the irritated bumps on my arms began to swell. It was on my arms only, so when I went to the doctor, and she asked me if I had done anything different lately, I told her I changed my detergent to these new pods, but then I stopped–wouldn’t it be on more of my body if it were the detergent? She agreed. We still don’t know what the contact dermatitis is from, but now I hypothesize that instead of detergent it is actually something that adhered itself to my laptop keyboard.

  23. She didn’t know if it was the right one or not but she threw it into the basket without a second glance. Florice ran to the register and noticed too late that she’d left her wallet at home beneath the pillow in her room. Fil will be angry if she comes home without the detergent.

  24. Detergent: what a boring word. Cleaning the house & washing the clothes. So mundane. But I enjoy washing my clothes. It’s somewhat therapeutic. At least I’m doing something instead of just watching soap operas.

  25. He lifted the detergent up and searched for his keys. He was rather drunk and was confused. If only he could find his keys he could get out and drive. Drive away and never see his family again. But that wasn’t happening. The laundry room stunk like a bag of shit. His nose wrinkled and he was close to throwing up. Too much alcohol from binge drinking. He was at a family reunion

  26. Well, that’s just stupid. Running out of detergent in the last days of summer. I need to get this laundry done and here I am, procrastinating.

  27. he washes clothes in the middle of the night, carefully reading the back of the bottles, squinting in the dim light of the bunker’s laundry room. he’s afraid to ask for help, afraid of the laughing, the teasing. he knows he means nothing by it, that’s it’s not meant meanly, but he fumbles, struggles, can’t seem to get over this horrid, hot embarrassment that climbs through his skin.

  28. Cinder should use detergent to clean off the dirt stains on her new gloves Prinace Kai gave her.

  29. Cinder should use detergent to clean off the dirst stains on her new gloves Prinace Kai gave her.

  30. Like laundry detergent? I hate doing laundry. Actually, noooo. I hate putting clean laundry away. I rather enjoy washing and drying clothes.

It must suck to not have your own washer and dryer.

  31. The detergent that Ariana used for her husband’s laundry wasn’t exactly stellar, and sure enough, when she pulled the garments out of the dryer, she could still see the faint remains of coffee stains, ketchup marks, and grease kisses all over the fabric. They weren’t horrible, but they were like the tiny ghosts of meals past, reminding the woman of her significant other’s poor attempts to keep food in his mouth and not on his shirt.

  32. Bubbles…

Doing the wash in the backroom on hot summer days. Slick with sweat you looked me in the eyes and said “Let’s try something”
You took the laundry I was folding and stuck it in a basket on the dingy tile floor. You picked me up and set me on top of the dryer. I vibrated back and forth, left and right, side to side.
    “Stop moving,” You chuckled.
“Never!” I cried out. And that’s when you did it. You yanked open the soap compartment of the wash machine, and grabbed the box of detergent of the shelf. You poured the detergent in like a mad-man. I slammed the drawer shut, and in that moment realized I was done for. Within minutes it was everywhere.

  33. He needed something like a mental detergent or a bleach to get his point through. He didn’t “like” Yusei, but he liked the idea of him selling his body in the sex trade even less. “You’re staying here tonight.”

“What?” It was a rare expression for Yusei to show Ushio. The young duelist was the witter one, and the officer couldn’t help but savor the moment.
“I said you’re staying. Until I know you’ve gotten it through that thick skull of yours you’re not doing that anymore.”

  34. The detergent cleansed the grease off the pelican very quickly when the rescuers were giving it a lifesaving bath.

  35. The detergent had a sharp smell to the dog’s nose. It was unpleasant, and always meant that he was about to have a bath. He wasn’t sure why his owner used detergent for his baths instead of the soap like she did for herself (and he knew the difference; they smelled so much different), but that was how things were. Oh, how he hated baths! Spot briefly thought about making a run for it under the couch, but by the time he had built up enough courage to try his mother came in from the bathroom and grabbed him before he could move away from her.

  36. Make your life clean as you never had before. Also could make your life bord. You will either love or hate your life with it.

“We don’t have any detergent.” Cinder replied trying her hardest not to sound rude.

  39. Detergent is harmful to the environment. An excessive usage can ultimately destroy the ozone layer that can cause global warming which may endanger the people and the Earth.

  40. After loading her laundry into the washer, she grabbed her bottle of blue detergent and spun off the cap. Once she’d done this, she glanced into the cup and at her laundry and back then back again, and poured the detergent in to fill the 3rd line. After dumping the blue-ish clear liquid in, she turned the washer on. Now, she had to wait.
