The remote control wasn’t working that day. I was feeling restless, upset at my day at work and fed up with my career. Dammit, why wont this thing just work? Disgruntled I got up to change the station and unhappily realized that the dial was stuck.

The sun dial was useless it was cloudy and he had no idea how much time was left. He grabed the torch of his belt, dumb idea but maybe

Dial is a brand. For soap. Sometimes soap leaves soap scum in your shower that is often times hard to scrub. I prefer body wash at times. Most times.

Dial a number to call my loved ones. Dont know what else to write. Just filling up the space.

I dialed her number.
I dialed her mind.
I wanted to reach her
But couldn’t find
Her hair smells tangy
And i am mine.

limosine phone, caught on the freeway, dashing away… crime scene fading and all I have is a phone, a dial-tone, and not even a ring to fling about, and not even songs, as the freeway police have gone.

I read about the queen’s million dollar dress. The dress was stolen… and the next I knew I was wearing it .. in my dreams :)

dial a number and number and you never know you will talk too. It may be china or england or right at home. Sometimes they can speak you language sometimes not. Dailing a random number is so fun

Dial the number. Dial my number. Call me tonight, I need to hear your voice. I need to know you’re alright, I need to know. I need to be with you again, I need you. Dial it for me.

I sometimes think I should just call you myself. But then I’ll feel like (and probably come off as) this clingy girl because all I want to do is be on the phone with you if I can’t be with you in person. Even if we’re not talking….I just need to know you’re a person that’s there on the same planet breathing the same air and possibly feeling the same way. I’m not going to call…

Dial the phone for we have no hope. As we touch the dials on our phone, a sun dial stares blankly at the face of the moon. “Why, it isn’t time for you to come out yet.”

dialing and thinking dialing and thinking, what happens to your voice as it travels through the line? how does our inflection maintain its sincerity through the wires? when i listen to your answering machine, is your voice not just another robot? sometimes i long for the warmth.

i like to dial the phone sometimes and just call random people. you know, just people that you would never normally talk to. i don’t know. it makes me feel special when i talk to these people. like i’m connecting to something unique and different. the world is connected just through ten digits? it’s just cool I think. but you never know i guess, it could turn into a bad thing. i don’t know, how could it? do you?
han
I wonder if you could dial every digit of every phone number in the world. It would take a long time: I think there’s a commercial about it. I like those old-timey phones with the spinning dial, but if you were dying, it would suck, because it would take forever. My friend Emily Oliver had one in her house once, but I don’t think it worked.

I dial the phone and get the answering machine. Leaving a desperate message I try again and again only to hear his voice caling out from the other end appologizing for not answering. I wish he would because all i need right now is to hear his voice.
Binx
radio dial. i sit on my bed and listen to the radio everytime i talk to you. its funny. when the radio isnt on, my thoughts wander and I think about what you say. But, when the music is off, I focus totally on what you’re saying, the voice in my mind taking a backseat. I just discovered this recently. The songs that remind me of you make me smile. You and the radio are so directly connected to me.

dial soap. ya it’s clean and I deem this to be the best use of the word. Why? Cuz i hate the phone. Dialing numbers is my least favorite act…

dial the phone, it rings and rings. You think “hes not going to answer” and just as your about to hang up, you hear that incredible low voice, “hello?” You freeze for a moment, not really sure what to say next, you struggle for words and just after he says, “who is this?” you hang up. How could you possibly tell him now…

I love when my Air Force husband dials the phone to call me. It makes me the happiest girl alive. I miss him and how he holds me when he’s hear. The next best thing is holding the phone and knowing that he is on the other end.

i slowly think of your name, and spell it out in my head. you’re just one phone call away and i can’t seem to spare the dread. i dial your number, but only in the absence of you do i dare to put myself out there… at your request.
dial the phone. ring ring ring. let it go to the answering machine. don’t pick it up. let’s just stay here for a moment. stay here with me, why don’t you? we can hide out from the rest of the world. let them go about their business while we stay here. in each other’s arms.

as i wait for your answer
you pick up and say nothing

i thought you were a lot better than that
but you’re just as bad as me

Dial the number. The phone is slippery in your hands. Your fingers slide over the buttons with practiced ease, but unknown to you, they have hit one wrong number. Isn’t it funny how one number can completely change everything?
A man answers. You ask if *she* is there. There is a long, awkward pause, and the man laughs before hanging up on you.

dial a phone. It’s what you do to talk to someone. Andother use of the word Dial is a sun dial. This makes me think of the book Everything is Illuminated, which has a town sun dial. The bronze statue of a dead man forms the dial.
