  1. Sometimes I just dial things like phones but every now and then it’s fun to turn dials. Like on heaters or the fun little knobs on radios. It’s in these moments that I realize just how childlike life can be. Even a forty five year old man can act like a kid. So be happy, growing up doesnt always happen.

  6. old telephones have those dials that you have to put your finger in and rotate. they take forever to dial. my grandma used to have one by her bed. she may still have it, i haven’t been there in a while. i used to play with it all the time. it made me feel like i was doing something important and grown-up.

  13. dial reminds me of soap… i have no idea why because i grew up in a strictly softsoap family, maybe the occasional dove. My dad would only use a specific type of soap from bath and body works. It had to have little massagers built in. That is so funny, because he is totally not that type of guy.

  16. Sometimes when you turn the dial on the stove there’s a moment of panic that the flames will lash out, jump up, and everything will turn to fire. The microwave above the stove will melt to plastic and the cabinets will burn. I’m afraid of my kitchen because it’s flammable.

    When I was still an innocent goth girl, one of my Nativeerican friends had called me “Dead Woman Walking.” At the time he’d been joking at my paleness.
