  11. there was this huge dinosaur coming at me at a full gallop. I took my ion rifle and fired directly at it’s center of mass. It screeched, stumbled and fell with a crash, digging up a huge furrow of dirt as it skidded to a stop. I calmly reloaded the rifle and walked on.

  12. Was the dinosaur or dinosour ? I’ve seen plastic models of dinosaurs and never liked them much . I never really got into the whole dinosaur world , I wonder why it all started up . who initiated it and why ? But I’d say through History certain things make comebacks and I don’t know when dinosaurs were of interest , at what time before. I don’t think the Victorians were interested.

  13. Giant. Lumbering. He turns the pages of his brightly colored book. The big monstrous creatures stare back up into his six year old eyes. He studies them. Takes in their size. Their bones. Their color. They don’t seem real. Too big, too strange to wrap a kindergarten mind around. He closes his book and drifts off to sleep.

  14. Dinosaur. Really? That?
I wanted a good word. An angsty word. A miraculously relevant word that would let me unload.
    But no. I get dinosaur.
It’s a good metaphor, actually – in life, all we all want it that beautiful, perfect moment. To get a word like ostentatious or inexorably. But there’s always just a crummy word like ‘dinosaur’ waiting just for us.

  18. Dinosaurs lived in times when human didn’t roam the earth. They were some of the largest creatures on earth, and were the most ferocious. They could grow to enormous sizes, and can easily be called the largest creatures to roam the earth.

  20. Dinosaurs are awesome. It doesn’t matter if you’re a boy or a girl, but when you’re a kid you will love dinosaurs and until now, even, maybe you still love dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are awesome creatures, aren’t they? They’ll hurt you only if you hurt them, other than that, they’re pretty harmless. They’re sort of adorable, as well.

  21. A long swooping neck over a sea of trees, flowing, glistening in the sun of a bright prenoon. Hovering, happy, in flight, though soon it will fall forever. To the dusk and deep dark abyss of night where everything lives but never leaves.

    Kathryn

  25. What really makes a dinosaur? Is it what we think they were back in the day, or could it even be just how we see or describe others? Sharp teeth, clawing away menacingly at animals, or maybe just our minds, or our hearts? We could all be dinosaurs, even though we claim they died out long ago.

    Eric Bell
  26. Who would’ve thought something so memorable, large, and frightening would completely disappear. It scares me to think that some of the biggest things still wont stand the test of time. So how am I supposed to know what will? What if my life is just a spec in this world leaving no dent or impact what so ever?

  30. I like the word dinosaur. I wonder who came up with it? I’m sure some scientist or it relates to dino in latin or something. Shows how much I paid attention in my science classes in college. They are pretty cool though. I think T-rex is the best. I know most people do. I would not want to mess with that guy. I mean come on, he is king of the land and all the animals. What ever extinct that animal must have been pretty massive.

  31. The tremble, the sound of utter shriek as i realize that this might be the last day of my existence. There was no possible way I or anyone for that matter could escape from what was to come. As i stand there, ready to meet my fate, one small exciting thought overpowers my dreadful fate. In being able to see something that it is merely talked about in books strives me to believe and have faith in that of which i have never seen.

  32. I guess this makes me think of my brother George and how he used to have this weird fascination with dinosaurs, and how once when he and Carly went to a museum in Germany, I think, they sat at a little table for hours drawing with crayons that a staff member brought them, and Carly showed me a picture of it one time, and I got really jealous of both of them because I was either too young to go, or I wasn’t born yet.
