  1. my dad owns a marina. one day he was coming in on his boat with my mom and other members of my extended family. I was excited that they were back and i was jumping up and down. i tripped on a cleat and fell off the dock into the water in front of the boat. My mom started screaming and crying, yelling at my dad not to run me over. It was traumatic. I was pulled out of the water by another person on the dock nearby.

  10. I like docks. I remember the dock I used to go to when I was a kid, with my grandparents in England. It had an arcade and stuff on it, really cool. I miss it. So much gun. But yeah, docks, cool places, yes yes. I don’t know what else to write…hm…I’m out.

  23. I used to love sitting on the dock out on the lake where I used to live. The water and wind, the tranquility were so soothing. I miss those days, and I hope sometime soon I’ll be able to sit on the dock again soon.

  26. I was riding this wave. I was nearly up, my knees shaky but my heart sure, when I realized that I was fooling myself. I was inept and in over my head and clearly, unquestionably, undeniably headed for a turbulent, watery death. But through the rain and foam and shark fins… there it was. And that was all I needed.

  39. My family and I were in San Fransisco for a vacation and while we were out there we decided to go to Alcatraz. As the boat loaded the dock, I had second thoughts. Were ghosts going to scare me or attack me? I heard so many rumors about Alcatraz that I didn’t know what to think. After it was over I realized that Alcatraz wasn’t scary at all.
