  2. Joseph Early III arrived just before dawn, early the morning of August 17th, 1937, hoping he had at last timed his arrival with the annual migration pattern of a certain species of long-billed ducks which he had long been enamored of; it was the same species which had caused him to join a local chapter of the Audubon Society and to spend, of late, so much time at the nearest branch of his public library each evening after work that his wife was convinced he was having an affair.

  12. I always hated it when I wake up too early. It feels like 10, 11, even noon, but usually it would turn out to just be 8, or even worse, 7. Sleeping-in is one of my favorite hobbies, as sad as that is to admit. Ever since college, my sleeping schedule had always been completely fucked up. No one, no one at all, could possibly have a normal sleeping pattern when you party all day and sleep all night. Or, well, study all day and… study more at night, because that’s how geeks roll.

  19. I tried to be early. But we just aren’t working out. I can’t make things up anymore, and our time runs short beneath my feet. How will I ever learn to deal with what we have become– choppy sentences exchanged over phone liness?? How did we succumb to this? What can I do?

    Aleena

  21. It was early that morning, the sun easing up over the mountains and throwing light into his backyard. I sat on the couch next to him, wearing only his dress shirt and a tie. He was next to me, dozing. We were both sleep deprived, having snuck out for quite a few days in a row.

  22. in the early morning hours, i wake up and realize that it is still my bed time. why do people wake up so early? sometimes it annoys me. but other times i can see why they do it. ya know? it makes them feel productive and maximizes their day. but i just love sleeping in. it seems to be a part of my daily ritual.

  25. early this morning i couldnt fall asleep, i was nonstop just thinking about pspace, time, well, life in general. what is the purpose of us being here is a question frequently aske. does there need to be a purpose? just because we have cognitive abilities does not mean there must be a specific reason for our being. is there a reason as to why giraffes are on this planet? we must just live our lives from day to day gtrying to be the besat we can be.

  30. Too early. You can never be right on time, if you are early. So, is early a good thing? On time seems to be a good thing, but early? Seems snobby, self righteous, braggadocios. I don’t think we should be early. On time is human. Early. Bad. I don’t like early people. I am usually early because I am afraid of being late. Afraid of not getting a parking place. Afraid of having a bad seat. Afraid of. . . something.
