  3. I hate it when the elastic is too tight on anything I wear…including swimsuits, underwear, dress waists…anything too constrictive. On the flip side, I think elastic is a good thing in many, many ways. So, I guess I’m elastic about elastic.

  6. The elastic bands on birthday hats always irritated my sensitive chin. The way they snap and pinch the skin is almost mean-spirited. Perhaps my distaste for birthday hats has ruined my ability to age gracefully – instead pouting my way to adulthood.

  10. String, It bends and shapes itself. Only it doesn’t, it stretches, hugs your body or whatever else you want it to hug. It pulls itself apart for you and bends to comfort you in any situation. It’s like your best friend. It’s always there when you need it. It’s going to bend over backwards.

Choosing to be elastic can determine whether you get to keep this special person you love in your life or whether they leave you for being stubborn and rigid.

  15. elastic is used in maternity clothes and some head bands. i don’t know much else about elastic. i’m not sure how it is made, but i must say that i am now curious. i guess i never thought about it before now. what else would elastic be good for? any ideas?

  16. elastic is the ability to be able to go back to your original state. emotions are elastic. we can snap back into being unhappy after a joyful moment or recover quickly from something that upset us momentarily. physical things are elastic, but emotions are better at it. we can feel the rebound, the recovery

  17. elastic is sometimes in pants whenever i see that there is elastic in pants I’m wearing i think about how fat i must be because my pants require elastic. i’m sure it very useful t houg, elastic can be very gelful if you need to strecth things or have things that need to fit in spaces that i guess need lot of room so they use elastic. they should make pants and not say they have elastic in them so then people wouldn’t feel so bad about themsleves but i suppose someone could have an allergy.

  26. I think ‘heartbreak’ is an inadequate term. The heart doesn’t break so much as it bends to the point of near-breaking. And just like a rubber band being stretched at arm’s length, I think the heart can bounce from near-breaking to near-invincible in an instant.

  40. I pull on my pajama pants elastic, wanting the pain of the reaction. It helps me know I am awake, even though the cold air alone can do that for me. It’s pitch black outside and I can see nothing. Maybe the sound was imagined, but I know what I heard.
