  1. So we went to this FRACAS improv festival and i had an absolutely lovely time. It was sweet actually. Got to meet a lot of cool improvisers. I learned a lot about improv and some skills I should hone. Also, I got to see ASSSSCAT perform.

  2. The event began and no one knew where they were supposed to be. They only knew that they must make the most of the one hour they were alloted. So they mingled amongst themselves, striking up conversations looking for reason they had all been invited. only to find that they all had a 3 year old son.

  3. Event….Eventually it has to all come crashing down in a horrid cascade of oil tear cries out of death tickle fears. We lose.

  5. something planned that means something. an event is usually something or someplace you have to dress up for, which is so not my bag. Then again you can turn ordinary things into an event, it’s a matter of perspective really and what’s important to you. For my next event

  6. the event consists of thousands of zonked out stoned high fly hippie kids on countless pharmaceuticals. the main drain of brain function the opiate of the masses – music. coachella fest is about to begin. hear ye hear ye come one and all. today, it is to be free as free bird.

  7. event. like a party. a red carpet, something big that people look forward to. i haven’t looked forward to an event in a long time. probably because my life is pretty eventless. is that the problem? who knows. i surely don’t. not even close. maybe this is the event ive been waiting for.

  8. event… ohh my gosh… what can i write about events? i like them but that’s nothing special everyone likes events, don’t they? i guess there’s nobody in the world who doesn’t like events.. or maybe there is, but they must be very sad people… or not.

  9. in th event of an emergency we should always focus and pay attention to the most safe way out. don’t even think of planning, just do whatever your sixth sense dictates you.
after such event, if you get to keep your life, have fun thinking about your new life.

  10. the event was of a lifetime and I had no idea at the time that I would be standing in the middle of a crowd wearing nothing but my skivvies and holding a microphone. How did I end up the lead singer? Was I dreaming? I was pretty sure I hadn’t taken any sort of alcohol or drugs unless someone had slipped them into my soda. Soda? Wait, I don’t drink soda. What the hell happened.

  13. this is the time. this is the occurrence. it’s a happening, and it’s what makes up your life. don’t miss it. these don’t come back. every moment is once in a lifetime. i lost a friend to cancer once. he has no more moments. and as bad as that was, it doesn’t even compare to the moments i would miss without my kids. every moment an event. don’t miss it.

  14. happens, and sometimes is good, but sometimes is really bad.
if it’s good you become happy, but if is not you become really sad and that is really bad, man.

  16. the event was a wholesome one, the kind which glues itself to the very walls of your deep inner memory palace and refuses to move. The kind that sits in the corner intimidating passing electric impulses and bully neuronetworks into reminding you of its existence with every conscious thought that flows through your miserably little brain.

  17. there is an occurance, a moment in which something happens. as it occurs, in te moment of its inception, a spectacle is made, something happens. it is here that we relish and wnat to re-visit.

  18. party?
umm…people in one place at the same time
    drinks, drunk people
    a concert possibly
loud bands, groupies, smoking, people passing out
    traffic like a bitch
parking costs an arm and a leg
except when its at someone elese’s house, then its just hard to find a parking spot then you have to park in the neighbors driveway, then they get mad.

  19. Event horizon, on the distant shore, like a carrot right before me, mirage, Eden, you lie ever in front, always drawing me forward.

    Until I
    stop.

    And here and
    now
    reside.

    Event.

    Then gone.

For what is tinier even than an instant
    is now,
and is gone again as soon as it starts
    and stings itself into
    a continuum of nows,
    a continuum of events.

And here I am moving forward
    yet again.

  20. i’m tired of everything needing to be something, something to be planned and documented and told for weeks to come. sometimes i want to just have one thing roll to the next and have those little moments make memories, ones that remind us of how we really were, not just what we looked like smiling in front of national monuments.

  21. here. now. forever.

  22. What is happening in the world to day is facinating and frightening at the same time. How we take it all in and what we make of it can determine the fate of generations to come.

  23. Overused, to be sure, in that every meeting, gathering and encounter was sold, advertised – word of mouth being the best that money could, couldn’t buy – as the event. Event of the season, the year, the decade, ooh, the millennium. Of course, it wasn’t any of these things. It was just an encounter .

  24. ps i think justin’s answer was stupid

  25. the last time I went to get a haircut the barber was a sixty year old ex-vietnam vet who like to talk about his days driving famous generals around the dirt roads of good old nam. as he grabbed the barber shears he told me about his friend who died from a stomach infection.

  26. not again i just did this one… (see below basically)

but in addition we remember events – they may be trivial or incredibly important.
you can never tell what you will remember

  27. events are things which happen dont ya know.
Many events have happened in my life, both good and bad, and more will, but I hope the majority are good XD

  28. A moment, a second, we seem to remember trivial things but throughout our life these moments create who we are

  30. well sheesh events happen all the time. I nwashington DC we have “events” on the mall freaking constantly, and they almost always have to do with this one techno group whose name I can’t remember. Ted Leo used to come down a lot b/c he’s from here, but other than that I don’t think I’ve enjoyed one quite as much as when I saw Brittney Spears and Aerosmith. This last EArth Day Event had a bicycle valet, which was way awesome.

  31. The Walk for the Homeless in Kansas City is one of the biggest events regarding homelessness in the metro area. More information at http://www.hillcresttransitionalhousing.org. We will have graduates of our program there at the event who can tell you their life stories. Lots of fun and a great cause. Come to our event!!

  32. time, place, fun, exciting
planned? not necessarly? a series of events? good context. what does it really mean? something to remember? look forward to? why do i always ask questions? i like to debate i guess, and never come to a conclusion. but a conclusion about an event is that an event is anything, something that is differnt, that changed, at a certain time and place

  33. once upon a time it happened. it was the only thing that that mattered to anyone. How long could they wait? how much did it matter? Was it all hype? Nope.
It was the event. That’s all that mattered.

  36. the beijing olympics is being marred by the controversy over tibet. although i sympathise with tibet i can’t help but hate the fact that a wondeful event is being used as a sacapegoat. the olympics are not about polotics!

  37. is too long to see that the end of the event is the start and I dont know what im actually writing about but the event of writing is something that should be celebrated in this moment of nothingness
the bar at the top is slowly moving on to what i thought would be over sooner but sixty seconds is actually kind of long

  38. events can be scary or great. if i’m surrounded by good friends then i love them but if i have to be with people i dont know or don’t like i find myself bored and uncomfortable. i especially hate wearing clothes i don’t want to wear. when i would go to church as a child i was always forced to wear dresses. i’m not the dressin type.

  39. I didn’t think it was necessarily a good idea to advertise “bee bathing” in the local newspaper, but I’m pretty pleased with how it’s turned out. You’d be surprised how many people show up to an Event entirely based around stinging your genitals with tiny insects that die on contact.
