She wore black eyeliner. It leaked down her face as she walked into the black dirty alleyway that began to consume her. He wanted to get her back, but he had already lost her to the darkness of an urban city shadow. It was something that had began to dig its nails into her since she moved to London.
She smeared on some eyeliner before he woke up. She didn’t want him to see her morning face. The morning after their first sleepover, and she had to work at six. This was the first man she’d slept next to, other than her boyfriend, in years.

Hidden in yesterday’s eyeliner, my past holds too many secrets that the world will never know. I’ve accepted that. I’ve moved on. My brighter future, my brighter eyes. No more heavy eyeliner. I shed the makeup, I shed my soul. I am brand new.
I have always thought that eyeliner was just for hirls but now I see more and more guys using it to look cool.
I am thinking I might have to try and find an excuse to try it myself (I’m a guy). :)
I think I might just look stupid though!

Eyeliner. Beauty. Our image of beauty. As a society, we tend to base being beautiful on a pack of power rubbed all over our skin, a prickly wand shoved to close to our eyes, a sharpened spear applied to one of the most vulnerable places on our body. Tests of endurance to make us more appealing, more fierce. Beauty makes us warriors. Beauty is pain.
Katie
I put my eyeliner on before my mascara…perfect lines followed by perfect lash-lenghtening. The eyeliner makes my eyes pop. Green gray. Like Anne. Of Green Gables. I wonder if she wore eyeliner.
Rebecca
girls who wear a bunch of eyeliner looks pretty slutty. It really focuses attention away from other parts of their face, maybe to hide an insecurity. Most girls succeed in hiding this and end up looking like a raccoon.

The black sediment,
Slowly stream down her cheeks
Breaking,
Separating,
From sea to river
To crevice creeks
Then merging back again
Into each other
Becoming longer still
An outpouring
Drawn in,
Flowing out.
Flutter, Dark, Shadow, a cascade of blue running down to an array of black, fine lashes. Depth, Seduction, Flatter.

Something fake used by women to bring out their already deep and wonderful eyes. Not really much point to it unless you want to look like a masked garbage rodent. I’ve seen stranger things…

never leave home without it except now that I”m getting older i’m afraid that when in seeps into my under eye wrinkles, it just accentuates them and that when I try to remove it I will make my wrinkles worse by tugging at the skin. So really, I never “used to” leave home without it. Sometimes I do. I still havent gotten used to the way I look with out it but I figure I would rather look different with out it and a few little lines around my eyes than Iook like I’m used to looking and then waking up to saggy dark eyes someday that I can’t do anything about without surgery. I’m trying to switch to lip gloss for my never leave home without it cosmetic of choice. Problem with lip gloss is my hair gets stuck in it. Fortunately, I have great eyes. Eyeliner was only a minor improvement over my natrually best feature. People still tell me I look tired when I don’t wear it. I just tell them I look healthy and well rested, they just aren’t used to seeing me without makeup. When people tell me my hair looks nice and ask if I did something different and I tell them I combed it, they act like they don’t believe me. Really, I don’t comb my hair every day. I wash it, tie it in a knot on the back of my head and I don’t comb it.

When she puts on the eyeliner, it feels like the whole world disappears behind her.
That’s how much I love it.
I feel unpretty so I go to eyeliner.
Eyeliner is my life.

I use eyeliner almost everyday. But, not because I’m all self concious about my image. I wear it because it’s fun, and adds a little spice into my everyday appearance. It’s like clothes. You can either wear plain boring baggy clothes, or you can wear fun exciting clothes that bring out the fun part of you. (: Or at least, that’s how I see it.
She put on her black eyeline. The doorbell rang and she went to answer it. All dressed up in prom wear, she greeted her date, Tim. They rode to prom and had the best time of their lives and danced until 1:00am when they left at 7:00pm!!

a color to excentuate your eyes. all different colors. waterproof. smudge. white eyeliner makes your eyes look bigger. halloween. mac.

Circled around until she looked like a particularly tired out panda. She took the pencil and jabbed the point into her eye, and out the other side into her brain like thread through a needle. She slumped back in that familiar dead way they had all seen before. Dead people look like wax work figures.
The eyeliner made the lines of her eyes itch with its black goop, and she felt constantly as if it might spill into her eyeball, blinding her temporarily as she drove to prom. Yet she knew that it made the color of here eyes pop in ways no one would expect.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup. Like ever. I really truly only wear it every once in awhile. It’s not because I think I’m pretty with out it. It’s because I’m lazy and tired in the morning and I really don’t feel like putting a pen in my eye. But I have prom tomorrow! My first prom! and i’ll wear makeup to that!

Eyeliner.. Mascara, eyelash curlers.. The elements to a beautiful eye. Let’s deugly our population and enforce this on the ladies please. I’m sick of seeing my gender look lame.
I recently bought an eyeliner. I was at my neighbours house and there was a presentation from a friend of hers. She wanted me to buy a lot more, but I was too skeptical. I dont like those things, but I could not say no. Now I bought an eyeliner, dangit

Eyeliner? Eyeliner? Eyeliner? Really Eyeliner? Nothing life changing or inspiring. Nothing to make a dramatic mark on the world? No word to make other contemplate their very existence? No… just.. Eyeliner.

My numb mouth throbbed, i ran my tongue over where my tooth once was and felt the fleshy hole that now replaced it, strings of flesh trickled over my tongue. Surely I could still make a roll up, my distorted vision and dizziness made this decision some what difficult. The cigarette paper twitched in my hand, shaking like a washed out, old vegas whore, trying to put her eyeliner on before she could bare her unmasked face at the liquor store.

I quickly put the eyeliner on, hoping it would make my normally bland brown eyes pop more than usual. This interview was going to be important, I’ve been dying to be a concert photographer my entire life. If everything goes well, I’ll have my dream job and be meeting exciting and interesting people everyday at work. Who could ask for more really?
Jorey
dark eyeliner, around my eyes, makes my brown eyes dark brown, black powdery, smudged on the armpit of my thumb, it’s the smallest mask around.
i never understood why girls wear eyeliner. it never stays put and they look more a mess when you’re done. apparently, stabbing hurts. so, they cry. it makes my job a lot harder. girls should just not wear it.
I don’t see why girls put on makeup
all of it is such a waste of pure beauty
I don’t get why girls use eyeliner
because their beautiful enough without it.
I don’t ever wear make up and people
compliment me daily, but I’m not gloating
I’m just trying to prove a very serious point
that a lot of you girls need to get into your heads.
And for some of you guys who use the makeup too
all I have to say is that you don’t need the guyliner
just because girls do it to “make themselves look better”
doesnt mean you need to too, you all look perfect the way you are.
Eyeliner and other makeup products aren’t needed, seriously.
You all need to come to the conclusion that we’re all equal
and that if you got a problem with your looks you need to stare
hard in the mirror, it’s not what you see outside..it’s what you see inside.
Inner beauty is what matters most, I don’t get why we have to
make ourselves “good enough” for other people because they
need to learn to take us as we are and we shouldn’t have to change
ourselves to fit their standards because we’re perfect the way we are.

Eyeliner, I use thee to darker my exterior. I use thee to hide my eyes from the world. You hide my fears, my emotions, my scars. You give me that ‘beauty’ I need.

She presses the eyeliner against his cheek, brown smudges against freckles. “Don’t worry,” she mumbles, “you’re gonna be the belle of the goddamn ball, that’s the way that I see it–”
“Mom, stop,” the boy says, and squirms. Her nails are digging into his arm. “That hurts.”

Eyeliner makes you look prettier….. Very.
I like the black kind. It makes my eyes stand out more.
And, it’s my favorite colour; that helps.

When I do wear makeup I have to wear eyeliner, most of the time. Even when I don’t wear makeup I wear eyeliner. I think that without it my eyes look weird, kind of like an alien’s. But I also love the freedom I have when holding an eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner brush in my hand… I can create just about any look I desire. Do I want to have the eyes of a mystical cat today? An Ancient Egyptian pharaoh? A broken emo girl?
I wear eyeliner, but not because I’m self concious about how I look. I wear it because it makes life a little more fun, so that life isn’t so dull. It’s like clothes. YOu can either wear plain baggy clothes, or wear fun clothes that are colorful and show off your best quali
Maddie.
Every morning I put on eyeliner. Well, if I have time. Sometimes I don’t have time. Yesterday I forgot my makeup in Rachael’s car. Hmm. I don’t know what to sayyyyy. Eyeliner can be black or brown or grey. It’s not very exciting.

Eyeliner?
I use mine too much.
I sort of hide behind it when I wear makeup, it helps me be at least somewhat okay with my appearance for awhile.
Helps me hope that maybe I look okay and maybe my best friend will notice.
Again.
And kiss me.
Again.
And try to take my shirt off.
Again.

The mysterious man in the back of the car was gesturing something truly odd, as if he were putting on eyeliner. In my fit of paranoid, I took it as a threat. Immediately I brought the car to a halt, jumped out and opening his door. I grabbed his arm tightly and wisped him and his rancid stench out of my cab. Days later, another gestured the same thing at me, I began to worry. Did they know?
Eyeliner. Its like a girls best friend, the greatest accessory, better than anything else in a closet or mall. Stacy’s mom had loads of eyeliner, everywhere. She was constantly trying new colors and styles, dramatic dark looks, and light free designs. She couldn’t live without her eyeliner.

it lines the eyes of our nations youth. it truely shows how much we have advance. it is not socially acceptable the be promiscuous and androgeneous. it is both epic and epically sad at the same time. im tired of boys looking like girls. self expression is ok, but most people live life for others and fulfilling what they want others to see in them. we dont live for ourselfs anymore. we are all slaves to an invisible idea of what we think others want us to be.
