An adopted lie
You pretend.
Pretentious pretender
Never born to be an obvious settlement.
Oblivious mentality.
Faked.

HAHAHA. This is dedicated to you, your fakeness.
You lied to me to make yourself feel better, and all you did in the end was build me up and tear yourself and your image down. You’re all fake. Your friends, your family. AND. I’m glad we’re through. ;)

We are all fake. We aspire to be something that we are not. Television and popular culture makes us strive to wear the latest fashion, talk the latest talk, and do the coolest thing. Going with the flow is so fake, be weird an.

There was a painting. I liked it. The white card next to it listed the name of a painter i couldn’t pronounce. I liked it, the painting. I would go to the museum on free days and stand and admire. i would be annoyed by the school children who were also there on Free Day. I moved away and wondered

Not living your truth. Not being real. Afraid to show who you really are, what you want to be. Being what you thinks others want to see or hear. Not being brave enough to live your truth. Who you really are

“He’s a fake. A phony. A con artist.” The man’s words were like daggers tossed to the wind, with little regard for the fact that I, the subject of these barbs, was only metres away and clearly within earshot.

I’m a fake. Writers are fake. They create fake worlds and lives and stories, and readers eat it all right up. But it’s only fake in principle. In some ways it can be more real than reality itself, fake.

I was told that there were people who would be fake when I went into high school. I didn’t really know what they meant, but through the years I learned that those are the ones who are the hardest for me to get close to, the hardest for me to connect with, yet they have the most friends and always seem the happiest. Maybe I should be more fake.

It’s so hard not to be fake.
My whole life I’m just fighting to be a real boy, and I don’t know if it’s working.
Are my emotions real? Am I just imitating some picture I’ve seen?
Fake it till you make it, or until you don’t know which way is up and which way is down.
Ty
Unreal. Not truth. A lie which not everyone can see or believe in. But then again, how do we really know what is fake and what is true?

Puppet, dear puppet, let your glassy eyes turn real and see through most of us as just like you…
We are, you know?
Bye Puppet, blind puppet.

it’s plastic, fantastic: it’s rubber and tape on a rusted frame. And I am not, so I can’t play.

People are generally fake. It doesn’t matter the circumstances, really. People will bend their personalities to whatever will suit them in the moment. You do it, I do it, everyone does. The best we can hope for is that we can stave off this behavior for as long as possible. Nobody’s perfect, the best we can do is to try.
