the festival had been held on the same day every year and the same people came to sit at the same picnic tables under the same trees. Everyone except one boy. he was different.

The light exploded in flashes of multi-colored bangs. All throughout the air sailed a smell of salt and animals and grease and sugar and sawdust. And i finally got off from the ride, threw up my cotton candy, soda, popcorn and sawdust, and swore nener to return.

I like to go to my school festival. It’s the only time of the year when we can chat with our teachers without the fear of being punished because of the speech pattern we use. It’s also the best of the year to find a boyfriend even though most the boys are stupid but hey who has never been stupid?

It’s a festival! Festivals are celebrated all around the world for many different reasons. Some commemorate a great event, others are just for fun. It’s a great experience to see festivals from other countries.

She took one last glance in the mirror to make sure her painted face looked appropriate. She loved nights like these. The people were already swarming the small village and she knew the tips would be fantastic. Festival night = rent.

‘Get in the van’ he shouts across the wind. ‘If we just keep on driving we’ll be there by morning.’
We arrive as the sun comes up, people are everywhere just waiting for the music to begin.
‘You’ve waited all year for this festival’ he says.
‘Go! Enjoy!’

all of these days there’s a certain type of malarky. with all of it’s sparks and sticks and stones. a little ways down you can hope the ride and covered in light take away until you finally alight once more. little explosions guide your way.

once i went to a festival with my family. it was quite unenjoyable. you see, when i was young, i was acutely aware that i had no freedom, being a youngster. so it was always disheartening to go to a festival with many wonderful things and know i could not linger on them or choose to look closer.

a shortened version of this word is one my friends and i use all the time. its a common thing with my gays, i think. if something is “festive” then either it could be describing something really exciting, or it could be used sarcastically as well. i.e. that outfit she had on was rather festive.
buzz
Few words convey as much excitement as festival. It conveys excitement and something special. There is an aura of fun and good times associated with it. Sometimes it brings back memories of street fairs and ethnic food. Whatever the occasion, there is a festival somewhere to celebrate it. I know I want to go.
Henri Pol
a festival is a thing that brings people together. That’s why they’re there – they’re there to celebrate that one thing. It can be a festival about music, about games, about people or about religion. The point really becomes to simply stay in that place and think about that one thing for the duration of the festival.
Whether or not this is a good practise for human beings, is questionable – and the reason for that is that there are no absolute in life and festivals about one thing involve many other things.
Stu Cooke
Music, sound and sunshine with great friends and laughter. Dust and babywipes with a little bit of suncream. The smell of burgers and bacon floating on the breeze with a whiph of sick and drunkness. Empty cans and rain

noise and blare, balloons flying, dancing joyful in the streets, full of yellows and oranges and reds, brighter than any day. Music; people singing, drumming. Whistles and candyfloss, too much sugar, long day, tired, sleep now.

festival of lights, a merry go round filled with lovers by little twinkling of lights and the moonlight. i gaze into his eyes, loving his silver speckles and wishing I could taste them with my soul.

festivals are an amazing experrience. i first attended a music festival in 2005 after leaving school wehn 16 years old. since then i have not looked back and have attended the same on every year since. they are an amazing way to see some amazing bands live. over the 3 years i have been lucky enough to see muse, rhcp, qotsa, foos, iron maiden and others! cant wait for this year :)

Bamber Bridge festival was always a little dodgy. It was not Notting Hill, nor Mardi Gras, but a small ‘celebration’ of small village mediocrity. The fair came to the local park, full of spivs who would fleece you of your money as soon as look at you. There was a procession that was filled with dads in brass bands and little girls who wanted to be majorettes.
Charlie O'Donnell
festival has always been a happy thought for me since I am a filipino and we live for festivals here, colorful and very exciting i must say. It is one way where people meet and be together to celebrate life, its goodness and grandeur. Festivals are events we must not forget or just put into waste.

Mexican fiestas are different from festivals. But I’m tellin you, there are fiestas around here every weekend. Cha…cha…cha.

Ive never been to a festival. Ive always wondered if a fest and festival are the same thing. Though my town is rather small and bleak, which may be some reason for why ive never been to one. Nor do i travel much. Although i think folk fest is a fest, and its not that much fun..mostly that your with friends away from parents.

those parties in mexico where the streets are filled with people and good smelling foods. they have on colorul costumes and music is everywhere. there is barely and room to move. there are those dragon puppet things but those are actually in china! oops. i love festivals

i walked into the festival with a heavy heart. i hate having to go to these things alone. it would be so nice to have a hand to hold, a laugh to hear, someone to walk with, talk with, someone to win me an oversized teddy bear at the ring toss. i guess thats one of the consequences of a breakup that i hadnt thought of…

the VOX festival is coming up.

THere was once a huge festival in the middle of the city. All the people came to blend and mix and mingle. THornton came in search of his one true love. He knew she would be there if only this one last time. Many times he had come in the past but this felt like the moment. Then he was killed by a piece of falling space debris.

There was a festival of souls today. Souls, embracing, loving, sinking into one another. Eye to eye, mind to mind, love conquers all, indeed.

With the wind in your hair and the smell of the sweet apple pies set up on the elongated tables awaiting the anxious contestees is what a festival is all about. Being able to enjoy this time with friends and family surrounded all about you reminds you of the simple days back when one was a only a child. You reminence on the memories and remember how everything felt back when.

The beautiful Spanish festival of flowers. A colorful occassion, with many people walking the streets, twirling about in dresses of many colors and calling out to each other in greeting. This was a happy time of year, many things happened. The things, however, weren’t always safe here.
